Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

The Tailybones. Right now, it's a solo thing. I program music and sing to it.
I can't really say what the genre of it is. It's more just me making songs that strike me as fun at the time. My first song was "Viper Riot" that a few of you SAW.
Essentailly, it's supposed to be a band consisting of drums, bass, violin, and guitar. I'm the vocalist. It's mainly just for fun. But my singing seems to have gone the way of too much punk influence. I need to start making up the melodies and then slap them to a track instead of making a track and slapping some vox to it. The drums probably wont happen, the potential drummer seems more interested in friends and what little I gave to her than starting a project. *echoes of a bitter heart right now* Violin is Despanan. The guitar... whoever the fuck wants to do it, really. I have a friend with a hard on for starting a band with me, but he has a boner for metal and I'm a wimpy elitist prick who avoids metal like the plague.

Ugh, personally... I don't know what to do...
My friends want to play screamo, and I want to play something softer, and with less screaming.

So far Hexoterika is the best one. The vocals could use some more work. They are far to mellow. Like the singer is about to fall asleep. He projects no emotion. But the music is good.

My other band broke up, so I decided to continue my solo work. I changed the name from Harlequin Jack and the Absynthe Bunny to Minister Sin. My music has gone far more dark industrial than psychedelic techno.

Ressurecting this thread to see what people think of this:
www.myspace.com/bluemasqueradeproject
I recorded it in about 10 minutes.
For those that don't recognise, the one track up at the moment is The Bells verse IV (By the great Mr Poe) put to chords (not sure it's really music)
So tell me what you think.
It's very rough. And the vocals aren't quite high enough in the mix.

My band is called Radia. It's another husband and wife team and all done independently. We are much on the softer side of things, with a more dreampop/melancholic rock sound (think a similar feel to bands like The Cocteau Twins, The Sundays or Curve).
The link is the usual myspace jargon plus /ispeakcorruption
Can't post links yet as am still too much of a newbie. Stinkin' Newbies :P

Well I guess I'll describe my solo side project...
The current name is Girl Singer, I play bullshit piano and sing. I guess I could classify it as experimental indie shit. It's fun, I'll be making a demo sometime this year.

That reminds me of something. I planned on starting a solo side project, alot like yours, I'll be playing piano, singing, and playing guitar. I'll record a cd, have copies made, and give them to my friends. Lolz, I've always wanted to do this type of thing.

My band (not really a band since I program and produce everything) is mainly Alt Rock with some Nu/Heavy metal trappings more so now than before, there is a chance that NO ONE on this site likes this type of music but its what I have fun playing.

Dandyflower. It's a duo with no vocals just yet, but only for the simple fact that I can't get my mic to work right.

Finding a name is hard, we changed it 2 times. First we were Lunatica but they already existed, so we turned to Crimson Moonlight (and they already existed anyway). Now we have no name, but it doesn't care until we begin to play around.
I can't tell what kind of music we play, you'll have to listen it and judge yourself.

it's what lunar eclipse is derived from. lunaire (old french) ekleipsis (greek).

My band just finished wrapping up our debut EP and I am in the process of trying out guitar and bass players! Music is in the vein of NIN/Depeche Mode and I'm looking for people we are willing to be on tour full time. If anyone is interested, or if you know anyone who would be interested please email me at Jsdobyns@**********, and I can send you a private preview page that has some of the songs. I'm located in CT.

I actually have two bands. The first and oldest - spanning 10 years - is F.R.C. F.R.C. is a primarly metal band that blends various styles from across the metal emporium. My second band - although not as old but more well known - is Epitaph. epitaph combines various bits from ambient, darkwave, death metal, and ethnic.
Unfortunitly, the only recordings that were made are on reel to reel so there is nothing on digital format. There is also no website yet - still working on it.

I am working on songs for my first tape, I already have one song in the 50 percent range I'm working on lyrics for 2 more. It may be a terrible tape, but it's not going to be an terrible unfinished tape.

I'm Snail Bob. I've released two shitty albums, and I'm working on a third, potentially less shitty album. I play some shitty Prog-ish, Metal-ish, Avant-Garde-ish stuff, but Amazon.com says I'm Pop.
My shitty Myspace page is: Myspace.com/SnailBobMusic
My shitty Official page is: **********.com/snailbob

Iron fist is my "new" band. It's me playing all the instruments, crust/grind style stuff. And I'm also in a small local black metal band, we still dont have a name, I play bass.
