Twilight is awful. Wooden characters, dialog--everything. I'll take Mr. Stoker any day.

Good one, L'Oiseau Noir. Oh, wait, you're L'Oiseau Noir, so of course that wasn't supposed to be ironic.

It's a little big for Twilight. Worse than giving a millionaire just another billion.
I'll admit I like Twilight very much. But it has the same relish used to write Wicked lovely by Melissa marr. Partially explicating that human mind is so alike in a very twisted Way and that the queer tiny twist produces the same thinking that leads to the same result. Reading summary helps in defining the story, I suppose.

This past weekend, Kontan gave me an idea. We happened to be in Borders at the time, and.. well, I couldn't help myself

This thread scared me to half-death! I'm too gullible...Although I thought, with the amount of attention twilight has, it's possible...*retch*

I have another friend who doesn't read and she saw the Twilight movie and said it changed her life and that it was the most romantic love story she's ever seen in her whole life. She said she "hoped that they stayed together forever".
...I'm sorry. That paragraph makes me feel a bit sick :S Love stories that might have changed my life: Rurouni Kenshin (and that's primarily action, the love developing slowly at about episode 30 onwards, as love should), Brokeback Mountain....Nothing else especially that I can remember right now, I suppose...

...but twilight? life changing? nevertheless, the film? oh god...

I saw the smile face on the title, assumed it was true and came in the read the flame war that had to of erupted directed at the original poster. I was kinda disapointed.

As for the books, I just.. pretend it doesn't exist.

Epic Win! But really, from what I understand, isn't the premise of the novels an affront to feminism in general? And if Edward drank bud light, lived in a trailer and drove a pick-up truck and voted for John McCain, he'd be the classic wife-beating, redneck archetype? So, why is he being hailed as the new hero for this generation?
