Well you see there's infinite capacity to keep responding to people. Like for instance, the guy who said just man up and tell her you've got the tickets and ask if she wants to go, I could say something like
"What would be the point in that? She already knows I want to take her with me, trying to force an affirmation that she'd like to come would be an act borne of insecurity, and it's not like a verbal 'contract' is binding, she could change her mind at any time. It's not like pestering her to commit to something is going to make her more likely to want to."
And I would believe it all and it would be true. At this point though I'm pretty much happy to just engage in shit flinging contests even if I have no dirt on any of you guys, making the whole thing grossly unfair. It's fine though my ego has a ring of regeneration which is like +12hp/second.
What there's more to is actually the other thread (duh), the situation with girl in the OP in this thread is really very secondary to that. But this is the thread everyone keeps posting in so this is the thread I'm continually responding in.
Despite the fact that I was assured that derailing is fine I think your forum culture has difficulty with the idea that in a 100-post thread, only about 15 posts max are usually ever going to be relevant to the OP. I'm used to derails by about the 2nd or 3rd.
