Public Affection
Should PA really be allowed. I say, "No."
First, of all it's inconsiderate of other people. Forcing people to want to throw up while they innocently wander the forum.
Secondly, it's nasty. It's like a monkey bite, marking territory of another person. Maybe the occasional death threat is all right, but sometimes it has gone to far.
Lastly, Yuk!

Funny how Maimy and Kog have been regaling us with the simple beauty of their love for 7 months or more now and you never had a problem with it. Only you would be bitter enough to SUDDENDLY have a problem with our "public displays of affection".
Your embarassing yourself Bex.
It isn't becoming.
And I would tell you what would become you more than your jealousy but I decided to allow you to fester in peace awhile back. Funny how you are STILL having a problem acting like a grown-up where I am concerned. Not suprising, but merely amusing.
If the affection that Manimal and I express each other really bothers you that much I hear that the Internet has many, many other message forums more suited to your delicate sensibilities.
All this from the "girl" that used to wear a codpiece so she looked like she had a penis..
The world is truly a disturbing place..
Be glad I didn't tell you about the look he gets in his eyes right before he kisses me..
*Shivers*
Have a pleasant evening..

You really take this personally dont you? Seems silly to me but whatever.
Look at it this way. The PA you're so upset about happened to take place in threads regarding erogenous zones and fetishes. What other place might it be appropriate for two people who happen to be totally into discovering each other sexaully and beyond to express said discoveries? Are threads not open forums of discussion and were we not on topic?
Perhaps if you laid down some examples of Bexxle guidelines for good behavior when discussing cocks, tits, and freaky sex fetishes I might be more inclined to take you seriously.

I've personally got no problem with PDA.
I'm not really that expressive in public with my boyfriend, but I don't see why other people being expressive should bother anyone.
At elast it's not in the non-sex related threads. You don't wanna hear about people's real life experiences, then why would you read topics like 'cock size' 'fetishes' or 'breast size'?
PDA out of place is a horse of a different color, but it doesn't seem out of place to me.

I don't mind PDA, as long as it isn't audible and overly...colorful.
I myself love things like holding hands, leaning against someone, giving sweet whispers and soft kisses. But that's about it, in public.
Otherwise, things people do become rude and gross. Especially if you are out with a group of friends, and you are only focusing on your mate. That's extremely inconsiderate, and disheartening to any singles that may witness it. Just bad manners. It becomes a faux passe.
As for the the forums that have been referred to above---it's open forum, indeed. I myself don't mind at all, I actually tend to find it interesting.

Well, I personally think that an excess of public affection when your with a group of friends is completely inconsiderate. Even if there's a large group of you, I would feel it's still a form of "third-wheeling" or some variation of that.
A bit of public affection when you're not with any of your friends or otherwise people that you know personally (kisses, holding hands, etc. Making out crosses boundaries though) I feel is acceptable enough. If people don't like it, that's their problem, and they can go somewhere else if they like.
As for this topic, I haven't actually noticed any tension between the afore mentioned parties, and therefore don't wish to comment on it further. I also chose not to vote, for the same reason.

muh
PDAs are fine, as long as it's done with taste. Holding hands, kissing deeply are all fine, but when you get into the PDAs that seem like they should get a private room, that's just too much. It also depends on the atmosphere. I don't mind heavey make out sessions and heavey petting at a club, but it is certainly not acceptable out in the real world, like waiting in line at the grocery store.....

I whole heartedly agree with you there. I wont make out in public. I will pull her hair for a half second to make her moan sharply and make others around us blush and squirm uncomfortably. That's just plain fun

You have identified the problem. Being an ass with someone is fine. No one really cares. You two are in a relationship. There must be something going on. It's like a sneak attack with a porn video. Frankly, even if someone was really trying to sleep with other people. If it got around they really were, it would be gross again.
By-the-way, I really do have a promise to marry someone, but we live in different countries. It's difficult. Still getting by.
My little tainted heart is looking up other avenues though. Everyone here on the board is like friends or not, but no weird sexual inconveniences.
Also should mention " For" is For getting PDA banned.
" Against" is Against PDA getting banned.

Not only do I not get what the hell you are saying in that last post, Bexx... but I don't get why, as EPS pointed out, you didn't raise this objection at any time for Maimy or myself.
And Maimy and I don't keep it in the appropriate threads either. Check the 'footwear' thread in Fashion to see Maimy's latest bit of TMI.
In fact the scattershot ambush quality of our details was one of the reasons why I was gratified to see Retro's R-rated thread. Along with other threads whose subject lines leave no doubt as to the adult nature of the posts.
Now if you are talking about gooey, dewy, I love you-ey types of posts... well, Maimy and I have only done that occasionally... Maimy more often than myself and almost always in the context of some question about relationships.
Is it the lurid sex details you object to, Bex? Or the lovey-dovey stuff? Try to make it clear so the rest of us can know specifically what we disagree with.

I didn't start it. Go back and read my post again. Carefully.
I ascribed the thread to Retro.
I understand there are some threads you don't want to read.
Super.
But when you do bother with a thread or post, at least do us the courtesy of reading THAT one correctly.
And thanks for also for quoting my questions to you, but not actually answering them.
I think you need to open the car door windows before attempting to hang your head out of them.

I neither blushed nor squirmed, I was and still am in awe. Plus it was like 2 in the morning and no one was around.
PDAs are fine if kids aren't around. And since we all clicked the part that said we were 18 and over, I think even here is fair game.
That beig said, who here wants to have passionate PDAs with me spread out amongst many unrelated threads?

HEHEHEHE
I found a thread I can post on after being gone for two months.
OK. Bex, dear, darling. I usually humor you and chalk your comments up the way most people would a child with downs syndrome but , dear, get a life.
What you need is to find a nice, caring, gentle, loving, affectionate cock and ride it for 3 or 4 days straight, stagger off it and post on here about PDA then go back and ride again for another few days. You live around austin, right? A town that big and you cant find someone? Yeesh
As far as PDA goes. I love it. I love spontaneously grabbing the woman I'm with and holding her, kissing her, goosing her. I like that and MOST women I've been with do as well. It's a healthy show of love and caring.
And I like seeing people like that in public. It gives me hope that love still exists to see teens, adults and elderly doing that.
Its no different here. Maimy and Kog, Manimal and Empty, the little comments here and there that Ravena and Asurai share. All of these acts and statments let the world know how they feel for each other and its refreshing and wonderful.
Beauty and light in the dark corners of this reality.
It's natural, its love and caring. It's beautiful and wonderful. If you cant handle it...well..like we've all said at one time or another, leave.
Bexx, dear, lovely, take it from an expert..you have serious issues. You're jealous, or horny, or both.Get over it. Get a man, buy a vibrator..something just shut the hell up.
The end
Good to be back

I don't read "footwear" either. May have at least ten different pairs of shoes, but I only wear five pair regularly. ~ sigh ~
Whenever I see PA in obnoxious forms I get annoyed. The first couple time, let it slide. Sorry kog3100, guess we just don't read each other. This will be the first time Really seeing you on the forum. Maimy is always around. By herself. Without affection from her man.
As for the comments about finding a man, I'm doing fine really. It's none of your business though.

I've got no problem with PA.
If folks on the thread wanna make out in Public they can.
Where I come from,I see so much repressed sexual tension around me in that I'm thinking "get on with it already!".
Jeez! Bex, relax. take a chill pill.

PDA
Okay.
I have only been on the boards for about a month or so. I have made no friends or enemies(at least, none I am aware of.....)
Therefore, my opinions are, pretty much, unbiased. Speaking from that point of view, I have no problem with PDA. Especially not with EmptyPurpleStars and Manimal. I think it is sweet.
As for Maimy and Kog, I don't think I was around for any of that. But even so, I still wouldn't have minded.
:? Bexxle, what is your problem with EPS and Manimal? They aren't hurting anybody..... I'm casting my vote as against banning PDA.

Looks like most people here don't mind PDA's, and of course I'm gonna be going against the grain, but fuck it-I am against them. And it's not for any philosophical or logical reason, but a completely and utterly selfish one-I ain't getting any on a regular basis. And PDA's are just a thorn popping my bubble of self-reliance and a reminder that damnit, I MISS fucking! So, just like everybody else who isn't fucking because they have this thing called "standards" and are starting to miss it, I also mutter smug, sarcastically cynical comments about people who feel like regaling us with their attraction to one another under my breath as they decide to let the whole world know that gee, maybe they're attracted to one another as if they're back in high school again.....fuckers.....
