Anywho, in reply to Stabz, being a Goth is not a religion, nor something you can define in any other single word, although the single most fitting description for most of the Gothic souls that I have come to know would be 'Dark'.
To be a Goth is to say and believe you are a goth. It's not necesarily about the way you look, the music you listen to, or the sometimes immensely complex feelings of depression, hatred and/or anxiety that may reside inside your soul/mind...
To me, being a Goth is to be different from what you would see as 'Normal'. To me, it IS a religion, or rather, the absence of one... And again, a religion is what you make it, people in the same religion may do things differently, according to their personal beliefs within that religion.
Within the Gothic community, there are people that worship Satan, and in contrast, there are also those that believe in the God that christianity has convinced many people is real. They may not like God, but again, it is THEIR religion, and everybody should have the human right to believe in what and/or who they want.
Being a Goth says a lot about the individual, not about the group. Thus,you shouldn't judge them as such. IF you want to be a Goth, do what YOU think you should do about it. If you have to ask someone 'What should I do as a Goth?' Then you are a poseur, and will be deemed by many who consider themselves to be 'Real Goths' as such. Societies such as the one one here often do not tolerate poseurs, so I suggest you think about what being a Goth would mean to you, and decide whether or not you have to courage to act appropriatly and be judged like the rest of us.

Electrocutioner, you're going to get along just fine on gothic.net! It's very true... and basically, you are born a goth. A goth is just someone who is themself, and they basically feel that they belong in gothic society... I think that's the closest I can come to an explanation...
