I may just take you up on that Cannibal, thankyou for the offer!
I do require some advice on this subject (school that is) I have a few choices before me but I'm entirely lost as to the avenue I should pursue. What is stumping me is which profession will produce the most satisfactory outcome. I'm currently a kitchen manager, and I'm damn good at my job I've been cooking for 5 years and I've excelled with any task set before me. I could take a Culinary Management course, get a Bachelors (I believe) and a higher paying position. BUT I will always work for someone else and I'm not sure I want that.
I've been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a pencil, I can be damn near photogenic with just lead and a little patience... I also write some, I'm into problem solving and computers. So my second thought was concept art and game design... BUT is there much of a market for this (especially in MN) and how hard is it acquire a position? (not to mention what the pay is like) If any of you know a little about these industries and the training I've mentioned I would truly appreciate any advice you have to give.

Randomness:
As we speak, my brother and his room mate are shooting BB's at each other while trying to make home-brew. Also, they have decided to try and make home-made apple cider jello.
I am surrounded by idiots!
This kind of shit happens all the time here...
I need to move, now.

People just dissappear on forums. Although a few here may give us warning, most people just stop posting. That's how I left the forums that I've been to.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that. Though now I am just a bit puzzled on how I missed that little retreat info. It must have been one of those days where I was gone for a while.
Oh shit. I have class in a couple of hours. So much for sleep. Sometimes, just sometimes, I hate being a night-owl.

That's a good way to put it ... and I miss her kind of interaction and invective too.
Hurry back, Demonista ... and Happy Birthday!

Hey, everybody, I need a couple of travel tips.
As I've mentioned previously, I'm going on a trip to the Canary Islands with my Dad. I'm leaving on Feb. 1st and coming back on Feb. 18th. The trip from Houston, TX to Milwaukee, WI to meet up with my family is no big shakes ... I've done it before.
But traveling from Milwaukee to the Canary Islands is going to be a 4 flight marathon. I don't do flying well, especially the cabin pressurization thing, and I don't think I can chew gum enough through the whole trip either way to cope. Swallowing doesn't seem to do much good. Any other suggestions for unstopping my ears?
Also, I've never dealt with Jet Lag. I understand there is a thing called "bright light therapy" that can help you deal with it, but I don't have the time or money to egage such a process. Anyone have any pointers on this?
Finally, I am taking my pda/cell phone with me so I can e-mail picture postcards home while I'm there. It has an international charger (110v - 220v), but the plug is the United States style - two slotted blades parallel to each other. So I need an international plug adapter to be able to charge the phone there.
The Canary Islands are part of Spain, so I would assume they would have the European plug - two pin-style prongs (I said 'prong' ... heh-heh heh-heh heh-heh!) But since the islands are located just off the coast of Africa, I'm not sure. Anybody know how I find this out?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I've flown so much it's ridiculous. I just stay up real late or get up really early or don't sleep at all before the flight and then sleep it through. Chew gum until you're up high to help with your ears popping, then pass out. Your body supposedly catches up to the new time an hour a day. That's what I know
Oh - and all the plugs I know of are the round German, bulky British, and American. There are others out there I'm sure but I've used these. You can buy adapters at travel stores.
