Nope, UC Davis actually. Born in Oakland/Union City, raised in Sebastopol, went to UCD, then moved back down to Vallejo before buying a house in Martinez.

Well then... I appear to have a couple of very specific things wrong with me. Whoda thunk it? ;-)

In other news, I'm doing the happy dance of much rejoicing right now, cause I just found out that my best friend and I get to spend five weeks in Quebec this summer on a french as a second language bursary program!! w00t!!

M.I.A.: True but another thing to remember on how WORDS can affect ones own mental outcomes. Photographs of water cell were taken under stress full and quite peacefull environments. The results were amazing. One photo had the water cell in an incredible beautiful form of light after a recital of prayer and kind words of praise. the same water cell after being subjected to an awful arguement where hateful words were thrown about made the cell mutate into a sickly yellowish blot. So imagine what those action did to water and what it could do the human condition..

The Last Angel: Both the figurative and literal translation of that statement causes me to shudder, and weep. Weep, something I've done more in the past week than in my entire life. When does it stop?

Sodoms Last Kiss:
Bluelight cried from my eyes
you may watch this rock bleed
imperceptably slowly flowing along the timeline
eternity shall ever be yours within me
in your back pocket is the key
whenever you shall need.

What do I say?
I say
See?
See what I say?
I say
See? See? See what I say?
I say
See.

...
And now for something Completely different:
DOTN;
I thought it would only be the nicest thing in the world if I told you that it would be "If only vampires were real". Using "are" in that situation is incorrect grammar. Now, do ten pushups, and recite "Old Father William"

Thank you Ice for telling me that using "are" is incorrect grammar. I am trying my best to spell better and you proper grammar. I need all the help I can get. I will change the word "are" into the word "were".

No problem, DOTN. It's what I'm here for (not really).
I am just a spelling Nazi.
I can't help it.
And, not wanting to get on the bad side of people, I tend to let errors slide.
I am glad it did not bother you.

It was bad grammar because "are" is implying that whatever it is, is real. "Were" implies that the object is un-real.
Not in all cases, but in this case it was so.
...........
Now, let's continue our lesson:
Water is wet,
Sky is blue,
Toes are smelly,
and so are you...

Well, to start off, Grass-hoppa, in this case "were" would be the correct word.

And, to stay incredibly off-topic, as this thread asks for...
Needles and toes do not go together very well,
Infact,
I'd argue that it is just a plain hurtful relationship.

Not if the toes had already been severed from the foot.

.............

Six fricken hours have been spent labouring over a final product of 500 words. Le sigh ... and I still have to type it up ... cut out 43 words, since I went over the word limit.

*Ahem*. Anthropology essay. Second assignment, 4 weeks in.

Randomness twoooo:
Met up with a friend yesterday, who I hadn't seen for over a month. Though, the last time I had seen her was the first time. Her nickname is "God". Cute, heh.

An-y-way ... God introduced me to a few of her dregs (droogs?), one in particular who I had to refrain from sinking my teeth into ... delicious one, she was.
She carried with her a bleeding goth doll. A bootiful dolly. At one point in the afternoon, a group of boys gathered around her, some streetkids dressed in Dada. They asked her why she had a doll; first they were curious, but quickly they grew to be a mocking bunch. My dark beauty did as I would have - scared them. Solemnly, she told them that she devours human souls, and her dolly cleans up the mess she leaves.

And whaddaya know, they called us freaks, and left in a huff.

Hehe.
