Fears & Phobias
What Fears and Phobias do you all have?
I have a fear of heights and sudden sensations in speed. It’s because of it that some of my friends think I’m a pussy because I won’t go on amusement park rides. lol
I also get weird panic attacks when I’m in-between tall buildings for long periods of time.
I also have a fear (although it’s not as nearly as bad it used to be) that if I looked up that I would fall upwards. I knew logically it wouldn’t happen but my mind was telling me something else…………oh the fun of neurosis.

Same here with the fear of falling, I'm also afraid of parasites that take over your body while consuming it. Like the daemites of Bloodrayne http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodrayne#Daemites, they still hold the title of the only monster to ever freak me out.

I fear centipedes. One bit me when I was thirteen and I thought I was going to die, I din't know at that time that they weren't poisonous. Anyway, it hurts like hell. I had to waite 4 hours for pain killers and my hand swole up like a balloon.
I'm also afraid of being attacked by a shark (for some reason). However, I'm fascinated by sharks, I love shark movies, documentaries, news and so on.

Right now my number one fear is dying and not knowing what comes after life. It's really been bothering me and it scares me not to know. I don't know why but it does.

My fears are the usual, like falling, big hairy bugs, and paris hilton, but I thought I might speak of a friend who has an irrational fear of getting her achilles tendon cut, which I suppose isn't fun, but when you get to the point of wearing three pairs of socks to bed every night, and every morning checking your ankles for cuts is a little excessive...
She's still cool though...

Fear of ET.
I'd end a friendship if someone gave me an ET doll.

I fear my kids or grandkids dying before me.
If I die first, good. If they do, bad.
O_o
That is as it should be I suppose, but in my case, I obsess over it.
I imagine my grandson as a toddler and drowning in a pool, so I will not buy a house with a pool or have one built in my backyard, at least not until he has swimming lessons. And it goes on: I imagine a Rottweiler or pitbull getting a hold of him when he is two, and so on. Not quite full blown phobia, just...paranoia.
Is it still paranoia if you fear for someone else's life? My protective instinct is on steroids.

I have those fears for all my family members and especially my cats. When I can't find them I get these visions of them hit by cars or eaten by the python that lurks around my old house (it's already eaten 13 of our neighbour's cats). I can't sleep unless I know they're inside, which is why I only let them out during the day. I can't imagine what it'll be like if ever I have children... I certainly won't be raising them in a neighbourhood with a local python.

I'm going to be here all day lol
Gas masks, grass hoppers, strangers lurking in my house at night, stick insects, flash backs, being locked in cupboards, violent loud men with red skin and acne scars, sex attackers, etc pretty much everything im a very, nervous person.

Heights when I can see through what I'm standing on or leaning over something, the dark (sometimes), hospitals/doctors, and aliens. Aliens are my worst fear.
I literally ran out of Signs crying.

Am I the only one who is really afraid of dolls? I mean, I can't sleep if there's a doll in the room. They are fucking scary!

The only thing I can remember scared (and scares) me out of my effing wits is Pennywise the clown from Stephen King's "It". Someone on here as an ava which reminds me of him, and it freaks me out... lol. Apart from that, I'm prone to laugh in the face of danger. Literally.

I have an insect phobia. Throw a bug at me and I'll scream like a little girl.

This is way off topic, but remember when we talked on MSN about satanism? Well, the guy called you an emo bitch after you left :S

I like insects. All except one...CENTIPEDES. NO. The answer is no. Burn them, bazooka them, smack the bastards over the head with a spade, I scream and run away when I see one. That scene in the re-make of King kong where the woman is hiding in the log and those HUGE centipedes crawl over her shoulder...............Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooo * hides and screams *
