Finding my old super 8 camera (I used to be a film student once upon a time) and discovering it still works and has an unopened spool of film that has not expired. I cant wait to film with it again, and make a stop motion film !!!.

The one benefit of down here is the antique shops. Got a pair of lovely pieces - a black and gold cameo and a jade medallion. The medallion has a proper swastika in the center (which will be covered, despite being the indian version and not the nazi one).

Realised, upon someone rebloggin a picture of mine on another site I frequent and adding "ummm...why do people do this stuff!", that I really enjoy how I look.
I love my over-the-top, too-bold, drag queen makeup.

I have now dyed my hair red at the back, blue-black at the front. I am also growing my fringe ( bangs ) in preparation for a hen weekend in August.
I'm going for a deep side sweep to the one side ( sort of ) and a bit left on the other side. This, on the hen night will be like the rest of my hair. HUGE and crimped. I can always go back to my usual fringe afterwards if I decide I dislike it.
I have learned from horrendous old pictures from 5 years ago, that a short-eyebrow length straight Betty Page type of fringe, does not go well with big crimped hair. Not on my face anyway.
Because to my delight, the theme of the hen night, is "80's" and also fancy dress. But being one of them Goffs and so on, fancy dress for others, is in fact normal dress for me so I won't have a new outfit to pay for ! YAAAY.
