Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Anyway, the answer to one of the original questions is "The Last Dragon". A blaxploitation kung-fu movie with a main character named Bruce Leroy.

Other than that, it seems like quite the pissing match in here. So much of all music is all derivative of something from an earlier time, but with better production values (though some old Pink Floyd is arguably better produced than a lot of what is considered prog rock today). In a way, it is hard for anyone to be truly groundbreaking when so many groups are derivative yet striving for some semblance of "authenticity" in whatever they want to call their genre this week.

IMO, there probably hasn't been an actual "groundbreaking" or "trailblazing" group since Kraftwerk.

The Dead Can Dance fans here should enjoy it.

I way prefer it to Dead Can Dance, who I personally think of as boring and shit.

And Kraftwerk fucking rule.

i really always try to stay openminded about music but after listening to all the sad music bands i listen to...the idea of lady gaga and the rest of the girls seems so tedious and torturing....she even mentioned that her coming album will contain METAL elements....seriously...i cant imagine her shrieking or growling :S....but what can i say...accidents happen...
yet my respect to those who like listening to her...as my favorite saying and the title of my philosophy..."everything is relative "

I feel like The Mighty Boosh was pretty so-so... pretty hit-or-miss with me.

Nathan Barley was a 2000's British comedy I really like though (it also features Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, which is why I mention it).

Everyone knows Robyn is better than Lady Gaga anyway.
