Exclamation PSA: Putting a User on Ignore...

Just wanted to post a friendly helpful reminder that you can always put a user that you'd really rather never have to see posts from again on 'Ignore'.

It's fairly simple:
> Go to their profile page by clicking on their name.
> Click the link 'Add USERNAME to Your Ignore List'

It's that easy.

Yeah, but their threads are still visible in the forums, and their posts just show up as "hidden" in the threads.

Minor gripe, but still.

...and while we're at it regarding ignoring, how about IP-banning the VERY obvious trolls that write those bloody annoying threads about how many colors their poo are etc, so they don't come back ever again? They add nothing, ruin it for the rest of us, and has surely forfeit their chance of being here properly.

Hmm, ^ that should also nicely take care of those multiple-personality types that register under ten names and then have conversations with themselves.

If banning the IP address worked, I wouldn't be here. I work on a proxy. The admins aren't going to waste their time on banning IP because it is, simply, a waste of time.

As do I, but that is something else entirely.

Subject at Hand: The Admins are indeed watching us, if they've seen all the bitching going on to know that a reminder was needed. Which makes me a bit nervous. I thought they were gone most of the time.

'Tis creepy.

I want coffee.

Not completely true, there have been a few people who have had their ip addresses banned, then again those people went way beyond the level of ordinary trolls

Oh really? Because I had my IP blocked by godtube and now I can't even see their website.

Well obviously I know how to ignore people. Because we all know I'm quite good at it.

But yeah, those trolls that are really out of control should get their IP's banned.
