Ed 209!!!!!

http://www.omnicorp.com/

I don't have much to say on the Robocop remake and their depiction of the actual robocop is a bit too... batmanish.

But just look at that SWEET SWEET ED209.

It's like a fighter jet on chicken legs! BEST DAMN ROBOT DESIGN EVER.

All robots that look like a velocirapter with rocket launchers on his head and shoulders is friggin awesome.

Dude. Machines are friggin cool.

ED209 is vastly superior to Gundams for example.

Though I'd probably argue that Timbre Wolves from Battletech are way slicker than ED209.

I liked Mech Warrior a lot (please don't mention those awful xbox incarnations), though multiplayer devolved into powering down and hiding a laser boat mech with shit that makes you overheat in one volley until your spotter told you an enemy was in range.

But why limit yourself? Macross variable fighters are the best of both worlds.

I haven't seen many good mecha games lately, but I rather enjoyed the Robotech: Battle Cry and Robotech: Invasion on PS2.

But yeah, I love this new design for ED-209, rather than that walking electric razor in the original.
