21st Century Holden

or Hollow Venture. First elaborate thing I've written in awhile.

From points shell to hell I've ventured.
Guise'd in a raging chloroform of false security and a floor breaking roofalin that is my inconsistent progression
A venture of growing old in a night only to awaken with headaches that spite and people I've not seen prior
Kind faces assuring a previous meet sync to "Oh yeah!" and "Sure that was me"'s only cement my hollow venture
Second thoughts suppressed by the need to get dressed do good for a hollow venture (one comforted in Outfitter's, Apparel, and Spencers')
Still this journey is most clothed in facades that modernly flow
'Til the destination reached of "Maybe this just ain't me..."

And though such a judgment may be known as the end of the road for the inevitably ceasing venture
One still my find the traces in all wrong places
Like the legendarily misguided Catcher

Hollow Venture is a better title - I thought you were talking about Holden cars (General motors in Australia).

I like it.. I'm not into poetry or verse, but I like it. I will think about this one (and try not to think about cars for a little while)

There's a literary reference that cements the meaning.

A reclusive reference

A wonderfully expressed thought about the angst that we all inevitably encounter in out lifetimes.

I would definitely use the non-Catcher related title.

I liked this in the main, but felt the last three lines were overly "poetic" in that pompous, self-conscious way that becomes inevitable when you write in a way that's too far divorced from your natural speech.
