When you burn hydrogen, water is produced. So even if this turns out to be an efficient way of producing electricity, no one has to worry about drying up the ocean.

It's not fiction, but it's been so politicized that I think people have lost track of the fact that we should be trying to make our shit more energy-efficient anyway. After all peak oil's going to fuck us over eventually, be it in 50 years or 500 years.
Anyways, this is a very interesting invention. Now, the big question is how much electricity does it take to power this guy's RF generating device? Because if it's more than the amount of electricity generated by the burning of the resultant hydrogen, then the whole thing is just a dazzling science project.
