They Might Be Giants

Boston-area contemporary folk (well, the guys in the late 90's at least)

Late 70's/ early 80's Sheffield bands (although a lot of these guys could've been goth, and some were)

Where I come from, they run you out of town for not liking the Beatles.

... actually, they run you out of town for not liking dance music and Scouse House *shivers*

I'd like to take this moment to say how much I love Texas. I've had Say What You Want in my head all weekend, and it's not bothered me one bit.

T.a.t.u but I'm Russian so I'm just rooting for my homies
and I like a Latin singer named Natalia Oreiro, though she looks like a rockabilly chick her music is not

Then you get bonus points! Or a coconut, your choice

I do like The Beatles, I was raised on them. My Dad is a huge fan, so I know most of their stuff pretty well. There's an early song called Chains that I'm really fond of.

Back on topic... um... I like quite a lot of un-Goth bands... so... Radiohead!

I like R.E.M. and The Poliece... but I think Journey takes the cake.

Would anyone know that I wasn't even born till the late 80s?

I have a minor addiction to HIM. Also still have a bit of symphonic metal left on my computer from a while ago that I still listen to occasionally.
