Carrion, you are a spiritual coward. To dabble in a shit ton different earth based religions tells me that you are spiritually wishy washy. You seem to participate in religious bullshit because apparently you think it's some fundamental function of being a human. Eventually, when you grow up, you'll either get with the program with simply not believing or you'll go back to church.

I have never attended church before. I grew up with an atheist father and a Pagan mother. I am "with the program". It's my life man.

So you're Pagan, but you don't have anyone to bow down to at dawn and dusk, and you don't dedicated your household altar to anyone?

I'm going to found a new religion based on Hi-jinx, arson and meat. I shall coin it WTFBBQISM.

I actually did found a religion.
Its called Gnubal. Basically, my job as the great Gnubas representative in the physical realm is to absorb the sins of mankind, so that paradise on earth becomes feasible. Hard work, but someone has to do it.
Inevitably it boils down to the fact that money is sin. Therefore the loyal devotees must collect as much sin as possible, and transfer it to me.
Care to join? No?
Strangely nobody ever does...

Dude, seriously, what the fuck is all this bashing going on here? People believe what they want to believe, and just because somebody isn't an "athesist elitist goth" or whatever, doesn't mean that you should bash them.
Paganism is a very real religion, and one of the oldest practiced in the entire world, just because you think that it and Wicca are bogus, keep your opinion to yourself.

Paganism isn't one religion, but a great many religions. That vary greatly both in age and content.
Heck, even wicka is a great many different things...

No it's not. It's a blanket term on the level of "Gentile" and "Infidel".
What you people are so ignorantly referring to as "Paganism" is Neo-paganism (which is still not a religion, but rather another blanket-term for a series of different New-age beliefs)
The majority of people who identify "Pagan" or " Wicca" are NOT following an ancient religion - They are following an amalgamation of beliefs that are no more than fifty or sixty years old. A care-bear, Disney-esque version based upon pop-culture ideas about Druidic cults and whatever they've gleaned from superstition, fantasy novels, and whatever else they've managed to pull out of their asses.
Unless you're making blood (human) sacrifices to the Gallows God, or participating in mighty bacchanals - Drinking blood wine under a full moon while scarlet candles burn in silver candle holders- stepping naked into the seafoam, chanting ecstatically to your nameless god(ess) while the waves lick at your legs, lapping at your thighs like the tongues of a thousand leopards- you are not a pagan in the "ancient religion" sense, you're a pagan in the "crazy cat-lady" sense.

Wicca is a bunch of fluffy bullshit. It's all over the place, not nearly as "reconstructionist" as some might claim, and no way in hell could you ever call it ancient.

I was waiting for you to come in and whoop some ass. Good job mah love. :]

I'm not really sure why you're asking this.. I'm more of an atheist than anything else.

If you'll look back, I have never once attacked paganism as a whole. I don't have any respect for Wicca, seeing as how Gardner based it on plagiarism, lies, and paying Crowley to write rituals for him. It's about as much of a scam as LaVeyan Satanism.
I do have some pagan-like spiritual beliefs. It's easier to call myself a pagan than an atheist, since I am more spiritual than most atheists. But really.. I'm not the stereotypical pagan.

True, but I was wondering if you side with the whole "paganism as a whole is ridiculous," which Kontan and Despanan do. If you don't want to argue with them I get it, but I was under the impression that you were siding with them completely, which is why I asked.

If you're going to ask if I was siding with them completely, just ask.
I think it's safe to say that I'm more spiritual than Kontan, and maybe more so than Desp. But I never once said that I wasn't pagan, and never said anything against paganism itself - just Wicca.

Leave Korinna alone, Saya. She just wants to side with the smart people in internet fights while retaining a reason to drink mead under a tree on midsummer. Why you gotta be persecutin'? NEVER AGAIN THE BURNING TIEMS

HOLY SHIT!! Come on guys, un-belief comes as its own epiphany, not bullying on the internet.
While magical thinking doesn't get one far, being an asshole about some one else's isn't going to help them much in the end.
And anyway, pagans throw the 2nd best parties!!
