Guns truly are evil. I stopped by the local sporting goods shop this last weekend, and barely made it out of there alive. Entire glass cases full of guns, racks of rifles and shotguns. And they just HANDED them over to anyone who sauntered over to the counter and asked. The fools should have known it was a (gun)powder keg, just waiting to blow.
As I dove through a shattered window on the second floor seeking cover from a hail of gunfire, ducking and weaving through the parking lot, my only thought was "Thank god this was just one department, and not a gunshow."

There are some people that should not be allowed to have a gun.
There are some people that should not be allowed to have a drink.
There are some people that should not be allowed to have a car.
There are some people that should not be allowed to have a pet.
Just because a very, very small number of people cannot handle something responsibly does not mean other people who are perfectly fine, responsible, and mature, should not be allowed to have access to it.

Has anyone ever built a house with a gun?
You know, since you can kill people with keyboards and all. I figured maybe you could do something with guns other than putting bullets in things.

You didn't mention what you had to say about the kid that was set ablaze by the two other kids.
The funny thing I've found about those that claim they aren't racist,they are most often the same folks that drag race into conversations.

The thing is, saying instances of a white kid maybe getting set on fire by black kids (and again, the racial motivation was brought in by the media, it was never in the police report.) doesn't negate that white people are not systematically targeted by racism like other races are.
When your grandparents could probably remember or participate in a lynching, you don't really get to say that racism doesn't exist.

Dude, lynching was around a lot longer after the war. Not that the Union was always pro abolishing slavery anyway, after all Abe considered deporting all black people after it was done.
After the war, white people just changed laws and made up some new ones like vagrancy laws so they could shove black men into prisons and force them to work in chain gangs, a solution that continues to this day.
