I don't really know when I really "became" goth.

I think I had a lot of the traits before I had the label. I certainly got the comments.

Besides the fact that "goth" is a fairly wide label, it's kind of difficult to quantify when one starts identifying oneself with a subculture.

I couldn't really say when. I've had many of the attitudes for years, though.

Pretentious dick waving contest aside...

Really, I fell into it by being a *shudder* spooky kid at 13, then I became my own thrift store hittin', nose bitten cool as hell one girl new wave clique at 15 then started to soak up the music at 17, and saw Siouxsie at 19.

No fake ID, I'm afraid. I decided I'd rather gain some social graces rather than cause drama by making dumb mistakes (socially and aesthetically speaking) and I looked too young to pull off a faker.

But true nature? That's just trying a bit too hard, dontcha think?
