Could have been worse. He could have been attacked with a can of beans.

Funny thing here in Ireland and the UK - all the prisons were built well over a hundred years ago. None of that modern stuff here like electricity and plumbing. Although most areas do have lights now installed, they still lack plumbing.
So you are given a bucket in each cell. Every morning they come around with a big barrel on wheels and you empty your bucket before breakfast.
It's called slopping out.

Slopping out has been abolished in England and Wales since 1996. Not sure about Scotland but a man won three grand in claims against Glasgow for having to slop out in 2004. As for Ireland it's only Mountjoy, Cork and Portlaoise. Also **** isn't unheard of in Irish or UK prisons, it's just rarely reported.

You forgot Cloverhill. Also, lets not forget about the processing stations like in Lisburn or many of the old police stations around the country. If ye get nicked you will end up there and many of those old buildings also have no plumbing.

We have five prisons, all built over a hundred years ago. None have proper anything. They are doing some renovations on them here and there, and some tiers might have plumbing since the last time I was there, but I know in holding before they put you in genpop there is a bucket and many tiers still slop out.

Obviously it would not cause much, if any, physical damage, but I imagine it would take one quite a while to mentally comprehend the very idea that one was just assaulted with a small woodland mammal. The idea itself is so farcical and ridiculous that it belongs in an absurd comedy routine.
