I can't find the other damned thread, now!
WolfMoon is a song by Type O Negative. It's my favorite song by them.
I think I have wolfish characteristics. I connect strongly with my 'pack', outsiders are barely tolerated. If at all.
I also love the olde mythology of vampires being able to change form to wolves or bats.
The 28th day
She'll be bleeding again
And in lupine ways
We'll alleviate the pain
Unholy water
Sanguine addiction
Those silver bullets
A last blood benediction
It is her moon time
When there's iron in the air
A rusted essence
Woman may I know you're there
Hey wolf moon
Come cast your spell on me
Hey wolf moon
Come cast your spell on me
Don't spill a drop dear
Let me kiss the curse away
Yourself in my mouth
Will you leave me with your taste?
Beware
The woods at night
Beware
The Lunar light
So in this gray haze
We'll be meating again
And on that great day
I will tease you all the same

Mine is pretty self explanatory, and probably because there was a time when I was trying to be more humble, and so simple is intended in that particular respect. But it also goes with the poetry I write which is quite simple and sometimes I feel like my writing is much like a simpleton. I've used that name on other boards and e-mails, so it sticks...
Xnguela, a curious idea for your name. I had been wondering myself.
Oubliette, I love yours and the movie it is from. And my favorite character from that movie besides Sir Didimus, is the Worm.

My name comes from a William Blake poem I really like:
The Sick Rose
O rose, thou art sick!
The invisible worm
That flies in the night
In the howling storm,
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

That is one of my favorite poems by Blake also, but I still like the Garden of Love better. I took me awhile to realize that The Sick Rose was about the corruption of the French Revolution...

My name's quite boring. It's my niece's nickname for me. Based on a combination of my favourite colour and an undying devotion to the X-Files. Or namely, a certain Agent Mulder...

It's a very nice name I think. Also, your picture reminds me of Lord Barkis (did I spell that right?) from Corpsebride. Don't ask me why XD

The pic is actually the character Vermillion from a Gothic comic called Gloomcookie. I found the pic on another site and liked it before I even knew it belonged to a comic book. But I would not want to deprive the artist of any well deserved acclaim. I just made an effort to acquire these comics to try and learn more about the character. It does look a little like that irrascible toad, Barkis though.

Gnossos is the name of one of my favorite fictional characters (G. Pappadopoulis, of Richard Farina's novel *Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me*).
It's derived from the Greek word for knowledge, and as a seeker of knowledge, I thought it was apt.
I almost chose The Deranged Cousin.

Mine's kind of a combination of stories that wouldn't make sense to anyone besides me.
NyQuil I chose partially because of a Denis Leary bit (We love you, you big fucking Q!); he's one of my all time favourite comedians. I also like the colour of it; emerald green is my favourite colour.
The "...of Doom" part comes from an old habit of mine; I tend to add "...of doom", "...of impending doom", or "...of death" to the ends of things.
Finally, in some other forum I was referring to some emerald-green liquid they were discussing as "evil NyQuil" and later "NyQuil of Doom". I decided it sounded cool, and thus a username was born.
So basically, I'm a rather twisted version of an emerald-green nighttime cold medicine.

Disorder
(dis·or·der)
a derangement or abnormality of function; a morbid physical or mental state.

I forget to add, the wonderful lyrics from System of a Down's 'Toxicity'...
Now, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder
Lovely.

Her name is grammatically incorrect.
But I think it's an attempt at Blood Red Rose.

I got the idea that "Rose Rouge sang" was a phrase from a poem or something...
"And when Rose Rouge sang, everybody listened,
and felt themselves moved a great distance,
from the sturm and drang
and the painful pangs of their empty existence".

Morrigan_Dubh: Can I ask you how you pronounce the "Dubh" part of your moniker? It's just that it seems very similar to the Welsh word for black - 'ddu' (pronounced 'thee').
Nosy as ever, that's me.

I had a habit around two years ago (when I created this account) for mixing something morbid with something John Denver-related (most notably Aspen) to create a username.
My favorites are my Xanga and *********** names, darknessoveraspen and starwoodinhell, respectively.
