OKAY! Stop all the fighting everyone! People can have their own opinions, but they don't have to fight about them! And I know Tokio Hotel isn't a goth band, but they are NOT emo either. They're an alternative band and I love them, goth or not. Gothic Charm School is for people to get started on the goth culture. Hot Topic is not Goth, but is a music store. And they have cool accessories. SinJob, just shut the f*ck up ok? Nobody needs anymore insults from you or anybody! And thank you for clearing up that you don't need to be a certain kind of Goth to be Goth. And I am not emo! I am not a conformist. And I am seeking to be part of this culture. So keep comenting if you want, I don't mind, but I do hate to see people fighting in person or online. Thank you for reading if you read this.

-- This particular board is nothing -but- arguing. There's another Goth forum that is much more mature and is pretty much the opposite of this one in every way while still being Goth.

-- Check out the 'ignore list' feature. It's a wonderful little device that will save you much trolling.

-- People are trying to encourage you to like what you like, regardless of the label. That's all. But if you want to explore the culture to see if it's something you like, there's certainly nothing wrong with that either imo. =)

So just study the gothic subculture and there's no shame in not having intrest in most things but just try it out and see if you like it. I can give you a list some of my favorite bands, if you like?

Once you become an adult, this idea is more par for the course, and less something you actually feel the need to prove to others.

I think GOTH was used as much as GOD in the bible in this post. I am productive and active enough in my own life to balance posting and making fun of others on the internet...
I was once a lot like the ones posting on this thread right now until I led myself into a subjective teenage womb that became a hellish prison. Don't go down that path. Don't take this subculture so seriously. It may be beautiful and aid in defining you, but it's not just YOU.
