Now, nerds never have to leave their parent's basement
All those geeky freaks with stratospheric (and some not so stratospheric) IQ's but lacking in the social graces have had salvation delivered to them by one of their own. Now, thanks to Douglas Hines' invention, nerds will never have to venture forth from their parents basement and learn how to ask a girl out on a date.
That's because Hines and his company, True Companion, have invented ROXXXY, the world's first life-size robot girlfriend!
SOURCE
Complete with artificial intelligence and flesh-like synthetic skin, ROXXXY the sex robot was introduced to the world at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.
"She can't vacuum, she can't cook but she can do almost anything else if you know what I mean," said Hines. "She's a companion. She has a personality. She hears you. She listens to you. She speaks. She feels your touch. She goes to sleep. We are trying to replicate a personality of a person." The Roxxxy is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 120lbs, and "has a full C cup and is ready for action."
The anatomically-correct robot has an articulated skeleton that can move like a person but can't walk or independently move its limbs. Robotic movement is built into "the three inputs" and a mechanical heart that powers a liquid cooling system.
The three inputs? Nice code. I can imagine these guys swapping tales of their great "interfacing" exploits. "You say she just lays there as if it's a bad thing!"
Way to eliminate the need to even try to comunicate with the opposite sex! Bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah!

Does she have soft teeth? If not, they could be dangerous!
[sorry, that's the first thing that came to my mind]

There are now YouTube Videos!
And this interview is strangely compelling. Among other things, we learn that Roxxxy the Sex Robot has a safe word ... "Marshmellow"! LMAO!!!
Oh, and the inventor also discloses that Roxxxy has an "extreme moment" at the end of your encounters ... in fact, multiple "extreme moments". The more I hear the more bizarre it gets.

So that is who is dancing in Ben's avatar haha!
Creepy. I for one wonder how long it will be before they offer it in black or yellow, and maybe a model with a belly that balloons after orgasm with instant pregnancy, for the Germans. (I have read that German Johns like whores who are preggers.) Oh. My. Gaw, the possible variations to satisfy fetishes staggers the mechanical mind.

Saya, sad to say, that's always been the view of some men. The good news is it appears some of that lot are now going to leave you alone and order a lot more take out.

Am I the only one who is stuck on the fact that she has a terrible haircut and that her face looks a bit...well...deformed?

Looks more like a female version of Tom Cruise. Seriously, cut the hair, cut off the breasts, put it in a suit, you will have Tom Cruise.

It's only a matter of time before it results in a cum-covered skynet.

Eh, this isn't really that shocking; it was bound to happen eventually.
Sci-fi movies and shows have been predicting this since the '50s, ya know. [If Ghost In The Shell is any indication, it won't be just "nerds" that will go for this kind of thing.]
For some reason, this reminds me of Mr. Universe in Serenity.

Longer... "Metropolis" made in 1927, directed by Fritz Lang, showed a robot woman inspiring lust in men and inciting a mass revolt of the workers.
And a good point on the fake girls of pop culture.

Oh yeah; I'd forgotten about 'Metropolis'! I haven't seen the original, but I want to. The only one I've seen is the anime version done in "Astro-boy" style, which was a little weird in and of itself.
*goes to see if Netflix has it*

A word of warning about Metropolis...it is not a talkie. Some folks can't get past that. Just sit back and turn off all lights and other distracting techno-gizzmos and let it wash over you.

That's fine; I'm used to reading subtitles, so it's no big deal.
I've wanted to see it for a while; just haven't gotten around to it.
Hopefully I can watch it uninterrupted. lol
