Please allow me to introduce myself

Hello...I'm isibell

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Mostly I hide in my apartment, where I love to read and listen to music. When working doing what I love I create as a props artisan (usually in theater, though I came to Hollywierd to work in film.) When forced to leave my cave like apartment to make money to pay for said space I work as an office monkey (alpha sort and file and type and everything normal and mundane I hate about business. Man I miss art.)

2. Where are you from?
The land that they refer to, here in California, as the fly over states; thusly called because you fly over them to get to New York. I personally came from a small town in Wisconsin. Which begs the question how did I end up so normal growing up in a place so backwards.

3. Who is your favorite author?
I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens. Currently I’m in love with Kim Harrison, and in total lust with Laurel K. Though admittedly Laurel’s earlier books were much better for plot.

4. What are your favorite films?
Princess Bride, Tank Girl, Labyrinth, Pirates of the Caribbean, Serenity, Interview with a Vampire, Rent, both Charley and the Chocolate Factories, The Lost Boys, Muppets in Space, Phantom of the Opera…………………Do you really want me to continue?

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Celtic just about anything…or maybe some madrigal singers. But really it doesn’t matter…I very much doubt I’ll ever plan a wedding for me.

6. At your funeral?
New Orleans style dirges.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
This is a question that I am told I’m no longer allowed to contemplate. Though previous to that instruction I think I was considering the poison road.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
A traditional pine box, hand crafted and finely worked. No lining.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Jeans and a t-shirt, my own personal uniform.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
You mean I’m not a little kid any more?

11. What's your favorite band?
I don’t have a favorite band. I listen to what moves me at the time. My CD collection spans just about everything from darkwave goth to Oklahoma (yes…the musical.) Most of my favorite CD’s are soundtracks. Mood music for the soul.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I have a Batchelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theater. I have it hanging in my bathroom above the toilet.

13. Why did you join?
I feel so out of touch…I spent so much time in black with makeup and friends…but no more. At least here I can skulk in the shadows, listen and learn. Maybe one day I’ll even be so bold as to post again. But probably not. After all, on the street you all would look over me as just another nobody norm with no clue as to what is truly important, and I’m probably old enough to be your mother. But maybe one day…maybe.

Anti, you are truly stupid!

Welcome Isibell, you seem like an interesting person. And yes indeed we would probably look right past you if we passed you on the street. Not too many of us go around introducing ourselves to strangers.

This intrigues me. I hope you manifest more often than 'maybe never again'!

Well, you made no sense of why do you like her; and you sounded very desperate for us to know you were serious

Wow... I'd love to get together and watch movies with you... The Princess Bride is my all-time favourite, and you've listed several others that I adore as well.

I can't possibly be the only other person to ever see it. The world's not blind.

Ugh ... saying "I love you" about someone you've only heard two nearly incomprehensible posts from would definitely open you up to questions about your intelligence or sanity.

Dark_Angel_Love post #1 (from General: Happy St. Patricks Day!!!) - i don't wear green it is pointless and its is... i don't wear green it is pointless and its is like dieing and going to heaven with on music, stupid! i would have rather went to hell.

I copied that exactly ... including the repeated text.

Dark_Angel_Love post #2 (from HERE!) - I just joined yesterday and i was tring to eat pizza and i drop it on the floor and now i am sad... But i don't care anymore. Because there is on more pizza left.

This person (Dark_Angel_Love) needs to go to the "For The Newbies" section, but it strikes me that there is something lowbrow about this all. So I understand why WolfMoon said what she said.

And Anti should be able to understand it too.

Oh, and Isibell, I didn't mean to distract from your introduction. Welcome!

As a former cheesehead myself, I can tell you that a lot of people who consider themselves quite normal grew up in that "backward" place. I used to hold that opinion too, until I moved to a rural Texas farm community for 2 years! I mean, the only bookstore in town went out of business. I once had to drive 60 miles to Tyler to get a computer manual I needed. Yikes!

I like your tastes in movies, but "Tank Girl"? Really? Oh well, in spite of my knowledge that they are not great films I like "Barb Wire" and "Cherry 2000", so go figure.

I like the New Orleans funeral idea. It's very nice to meet another Laurell K. Hamilton fan here.

Once again, welcome to the amusement park for the dark side of the brain that we call Gothic.net! I'm looking forward to your contributions.

Oh, and nice Stones reference in your intro title!
