Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Hehehe Jesus Pie...
Is that old music (as in chant or pre-1800), or new? Pie Jesu sounds Latin.

Its based on the Requiem Mass but Faur's arrangement was in the 1930's I do believe.

"Dogs of War", from Pink Floyd's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason".
I'd always thought of Pink Floyd as a great band to chill to, however today I learned that they're also awesome chore music too!!

Been busy. Still working two jobs. Lost the hospital job to a software package of all things. Back working graveyard at a different hospital. Still typing at home for another. Been working on my third "novel" for NaNoWriMo... and playing grandmum. (My landmonster decided to sell the little house with the pine trees in the yard, the one that was up in the mountains -- so my family and I have moved out to the country). I got a kick out of the move though. My son-in-law is from PA. While we moving out of the little house, he came in all goggle eyed and asked me what kind of 'dog' was silver-colored and bigger than him. Turns out he came face-to-face with a timber wolf in the driveway. But what really concerned me was when he mentioned the really huge cat that was out in the driveway one day --you know, yellow, bigger than a Rottweiler. Turns out it was a mountain lion. Needless to say, he was relieved when we moved to the country. The largest thing he's come across out here so far is a kit fox.

The Ramones : End Of The Century. Just love that record, even if "Chinese rocks" here can't come close to the Johnny Thunders version...

Bauhaus--Endless Summer of The Damned
Speaking of which.... there is a song floating around out there, masquerading as "Slipknot ft. Korn--Queen Of The Damned". It also goes by the moniker "Feel No Shame". According to some, it's actually a band called V-Mob... but apparently, they're wrong too. It's ACTUALLY an even MORE obscure band, known as Seeded Crown, from the album 'Please Remain Seeded'. Or so they say.
If anyone else has any real insight on this, please tell me.
It is a freaking epic song--
