... sometimes people are honestly just nice and extremely friendly. And it isn't an act, and they really don't want anything from you but some time and a few laughs.

... and that I can be wrong about people and humble enough to fess up to my initial take on them and to admit that i was wrong about them...

... and they will let you get the next round as an apology and all is right as rain.

Today I learned that around 61% of people on Earth are lactose intolerant. The 39% who aren't are the ancestors of mutant cattle herders.

I can just imagine the family tree. "Kate, this is you're great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great -great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great-grampa, Mooga the Muddy (insert picture of Dr.-Hyde-from-The-League-of-Extraordinary-Gentlemen-esque-monster patting a cow)

I learned that plaster can set before you have time to finish doing what you want, even if that takes 5 minutes. Especially if you stir it around too much. *growls at plaster*

You should kill the plaster with fire. Then, threaten the plaster that you will find somthing better than it! Show that plaster a lesson.
