Fuck . me.
I've just had a text from my friend.
Charlotte : "Do you remember that guy Grace was obsessed with? Nathan?"
Me : "Yes I remember I kissed him in the picturehouse ( a club ) when I was about 19. Why?"
Charlotte : " Were you friends with him? "
And at this point I knew exactly what was coming. And don't ask me how I knew, I just did. The minute I saw it I thought ...he's dead.
and the next text?
Charlotte : " He hung himself on Saturday."
I feel slightly strange. I'm not sad or anything as I didn't know him other than by sight and the thought of " oh...I kissed him once " . But still, feels a little odd for some reason.

I know what you mean Claire. I was boyfriend to a pretty girl in high school who I kissed many times, and then last year (34 years later) I found out from a mutual friend that she died from breast cancer last October. I felt a little sad, but the chasm of time was too vast for me to feel any worse.

I've learned my lesson...you can't even trust people who you consider your best friend.
Also, I don't deserve all the crap I take...I'm a kind and smart person, and pretty fucking level headed...and I need to find people who are going to appreciate me and not take advantage of my kindness.

I bought an elderberry bush specifically because it made me think of that quote. It's really pretty, but it really stinks if you rub your fingers on it (but not as bad as poo or skunk). Smelling of elderberries is quite an insult, I think.

You already seen them. I wear them on one of the pictures I've posted. They don't shine though, so they look just black.
