I've gotta write an essay for school...
I want to do it on Ted Bundy/serial killers. I've already got a good bit of information and all that but I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips? If your an excellent essay writer?

I get good marks for my essays, but what's your point? What conclusion are you trying to reach about Ted Bundy and other serial killers? An essay isn't just a long biography, rather than telling about them, you need to use them as a way of backing up some sort of claim.

My point is just about serial killers, the epidemic of them and all.
Is that good enough? Should I change it to something else that gets to the point of things?
I wanted to make it interesting and fun to read because I wouldn't want to read something that was created by a robot, it's boring.

Do you have some sort of insight into what compelled Ted Bundy to kill? Something that makes him unique from other serial killers? Something about his cultural impact?
This is what JCC means about having a central claim to argue in support of. It's not enough to say "Ted Bundy was a serial killer." Okay, so what?

What Viscus said. Try concentrating on something, like the effect that violent pornography had on Bundy and the part that it played in his crimes. He talks extensively about it in the interview before his death. There's plenty of things to focus on.

Yeah, I got that down, too.
Your first reply was really helpful, it summoned up my whole idea for the essay, because sometimes you can drift away from the whole point initially. though I already had everything I needed. I guess I just wanted to make sure everything is correct and none of the info is unnecessary.

I am a researcher and also a writer and my focus is all about the true crime scene.
