Gothic people of any gender can be whatever they want.
Like me- I'm a softie and a psychopath at the same time. ._.
Goth chicks press all the right buttons though. <.<

Gender is a social construct as much as goth is.
That said, I don't think I've worn pants in a few years now, and I'm a corset-whore, so, I'd say I err on the feminine side.

I idolize Katherine Hepburn. Feminine yet she was one of the first to really wear pants in public and make it popular. Sure, she wasn't goth. But I like my pants and will challenge you to a burping contest and and win. But when the situation calls for it, I can be disgustingly feminine. So yes, I think goth girls CAN be feminine, but many are forced to be a bit masculine to ward off the mundanes.

I like my masculinity. But i sometimes feel that "Goth" is construed as being quite feminine. I suppose personal preferance takes over here...

I beleive that being gothic does not have to do anything with being feminine. There are many gothic girls who act proper, and wear dresses, make-up and skirts. I am only against skirts, but the other things are alright for me. As long as the make-up isn´t too fancy, simple black eye-linear looks great.

And yes, Gothic ladies can be uber girly, although I have yet to meet one in person, damn it all.

There are different kinds of goth, and if you chose to be the kind of gal who goes around wearing lace and velvet and ruffles and skirts and that whole deal, you may look feminine, but it really comes down to the person. You can dress up all you want, but being feminine is about how you act. You can take goth gal who sticks to more traditional dress and she might be less feminine than the goth chick who wears bulky black pants with chains and lots of spikes. You can dress however you want to, it's your personality and your actions that determines whether you're feminine or not.

Good point. On the general subject there is something awesome about Tomboys. They can be quite feminine too, underneath, but there is something very appealing about a girl devoid of artifice that you can feel comfortable with as a guy. It might have something to do with the fact that, while I'm a dude and stuff, I am far from macho. In fact I can imagine little more droll or inane than macho.

I agree, tomboys can really be amazing. I love them. Even though I am a more feminine gal in the sense that I like to dress up and look nice and really don't like the outdoors, I don't do the whole "let's cross our legs and act like ladies" kind of thing. I'm not into sharing feelings and the like. Tomboys are, if you ask me, the best of both worlds. They can act like ladies when needed, but more than anything, they're tough and just want to have a good time. Or at least, that is what I have found.

hey dude, read up, where it said I was exaggerating for the purpose of humour....I still have quite a questionable sense of humour...but I leave that for fun times with people I know who also find it funny.

I really hate Fords, so no worries Draconysis. In fact I own a 1973 Chevy Monte Carlo. 93,667 miles on the odometer, 350 Turbo Fire V-8, 2 Barrel Rochester Carb, 3 speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission, shes only pushing about 255 horses now, wait until I get A 4 Barrel Holley Demon carb and some meaty cams. :] I'm also a car nerd too! Yay!

I hate jocks. I just like to tinker with my car. This is why I'm single!
