The War Of The Worlds.

Am I the only one who thinks this beautiful artistic masterpiece is one that should be honored as one of the greatest musical accomplishments of all time?

I just bought it on I tunes because I got twenty five pounds today to spend for my birthday on I tunes.

First thing I thought of buying was this! I used to have it on tape and having it at its full qaulity is truly beautiful.

So, anyone else like it?

For those who do not have a clue what this is, it is a musical storyline of aliens coming from mars to kill all humans, it is amazing, it may sound corny but it is truly great.

First post on my sexy new laptop.

Umm.. Originally it's a book by H.G Wells. A good one too.

If you mean "The chances of anything coming from Mars, are a million to one, they said..." once had it on these big black round things called records. When I saw it on CD a few years ago I was astonished and elated. A friend claims they are to create an animated movie to go with it, if this has not already been done.

The original 1953 film starring Gene Robinson and Anne Robinson is the best and has not been equalled or exceeded in my opinion:

Good afternoon, HumanePain. I don't think that I have ever seen all of that movie and I would probably like it quite a bit. (Haven't bothered to see the recent scientology-friendly version as of yet at least. :^) It may be a case of comparing apples and oranges, though. This Jeff Wayne musical version features narration by Richard Burton, and Justin Hayward from The Moody Blues. It is really quite good in its own unique... um... "Idiom, sir?!" Idiom!

Cool Chances of anything coming from Mars ...

I think this album is brilliant, one of the best concept albums ever (someone should do a post on concept albums) the music and the narration is perfect as is the arrangement and orchestration of the music. Did anyone in the Uk watch the live performance of this on SKY TV (on Sky Movies Indie) recently ?

I think I`m going to listen to it now, hmm... shall I play the CD or Vinyl ?
