I got to go to my first art show last night. There were tribal and belly dancers, live music and fire dancing!!! Oh it was fun, the most culture I've seen in my little quiet little not-quite-mountain town in quite some time!! Huzzah!!

My birthday cake which was baked by Mr Bat. it is a pink chocolate bat (with huge bat ears) sitting on a white vanilla cake, with blueberries as eyes.
And I managed to cut it vertically without the cake falling in pieces.
Mr Bat is in charge of birthday cakes in our household!!

Last week I only marginally remembered talking to these two girls. No idea who they were, why we started talking, or even if they're hot.
Today one finds me on facebook and lo and behold, she's hot. This halloween is gonna end great.

What made my day was that the lorry I drive at work actually behaved itself. Everything went smoothly, the engine even stopped when I turned off the ignition (normally the engine stubbornly continues to turn over).

I got to gross out babybat. I kissed Mr Bat in front of him and babybat screwed up his face and said "Oh nooo" in a cute almost 2 year old voice.
I said to Mr Bat "Yeeeessss!! My first victory at grossing out babybat with parental affection."
Mr Bat said "Way to go mum" before I did my happy dance back to the house.
I think I embarrased my boys, which was the icing on the cake!!

And I kinda feel guilty that I never go home but I'm so willing to go next weekend if it means PUPPY.
