I love the reference but also flashed on the Twilight books ... "New Sponge" - sponge angst revealed at last.

Okay, maybe that's a little thin.

After liquidating that retirement account, I bought up a bunch of the Star Trek movies, "Alien (The Directors Cut)", "Alien 3" and "Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem (Unrated Edition)" (completing the set), "S Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale" and "Ghostbusters 2" cheap on DVD, "Van Helsing" and "The Omega Man" on BluRay from Amazon, since I get 2 day shipping free from them and pay no sales taxes.

I also bought 3 AceKard 2i's so I can store dozens of games on each cart and run multi-player combat and co-op gaming on Nintendo DS's along with 3 4GB microSD cards.

For gaming I picked up "Berserker Halflings from the Dungeon of Dragons" and "Cannibal Pygmies in the Jungle of Doom" B-movie card games as well as the "Dungeoneer: Call of the Litch Lord" and "Dungeoneer: Tomb of the Litch Lord" card games, "Cosmic Wimpout" and "Escalation".

I also bought a set of electronic dice that don't require throwing ... you just tap them and the random results are displayed on the top face. Figured those were good for playing games in small space where you can't really throw dice.

Now that I look at it, that's a pretty geeky list. Oh well ...

Oh, yeah, I also bought a Donald Driver jersey, so that offsets the geek factor a bit.

Hey SweetJane you stole my jacket! =)

Today was practically a spree at Barnes + Noble. We got two books for DH (The Stolen Throne and The Calling by David Gaider- might have to borrow these from him), a CD for me (Lacuna Coil- Karmacode), and a movie for all of us (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen).

I bought "Asimov's Guide to the Bible" (the recent edition which combines the two previous Old Testament and New Testament volumes into one book) from Barnes and Noble for $19.99. It is not a religeous work per se, but an attempt to put the events described in the bible into a historical context and answer questions such as, "Why wasn't Jesus mentioned in other documents written in the same historical time frame as the books of the Bible?" Looks like an interesting read.

That does sound interesting Ben.
But I wouldn't be surprised if I threw the book across the room after the first chapter *shrug*

A couple of drinks for the Gent and myself. Before that, two cinema hotdogs- again, one for him and one for me.

I bought quite a bit of candy from the Busch Garden's team member store, it was only $.10 for a large box of Dots and we have to turn in our ID badges and such at the store so I just couldn't resist getting some candy while there. I also bought Jake two mugs, a glass beer mug and a ceramic one for hot coco since they retain heat so well, an espresso set for the gift exchange at my family's Christmas, and a little thing of locally made goat's milk skin salve for my mother, all for about $18.00, I'm kind of pissed that I didn't clear out last night as yesterday they were selling swords (the inventory changes daily as they sell whatever they don't have room to stock at the in park shops) for $2, oh well I don't need another sword, even if they were awesome deals.

I bought a new Blackline bearing for my bridge bar, and a carved horn plug for my left lobe.
Oh and a bottle of Captain Morgan's Rum.

Your McDonalds had chairs you can MOVE? All the ones near me have chairs that are bolted to the floor.

The smokers area outside has chairs you can move. They never put them inside, and considering it's winter I figured they wouldn't miss them. Plus, I'm sure YUM! co. can spare a few euros here or there, to help furnish our squat...

Not that I eat at McNasties but if I did, the chairs are bolted to the floor and the smoking area is the street outside, next to the generally overflowing bin. Nice.
