1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I do not currently hold a job, however I am very interested in journalism and hope to move to Chicago one day to pursue that career. Though, my true aspiration is to be an author and hopefully I can work on my novel on the side. As for hobbies, they range: Water Balloon Fights, Fashion, Rock Climbing, Air Soft, Drawing, Reading, Writing, Tag. I just like to stay busy and keep active at all times. I often make up my own games and try to make everything fun.

2. Where are you from?
I’m from a small country town, with small country people.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Kurt Vonnegut. I love his short story "Harrison Bergeron"

4. What are your favorite films?
Evil, Donnie Darko, Chicago, The Prestige, Hannibal Rising, Catch Me If You Can. It goes on. However, I enjoy movies usually dealing with murder, thievery, or involving a mysterious edge.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I’m not getting married.

6. At your funeral?
I'm not sure, something grand though, and long.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Drowning, but not anywhere. It has to cold, maybe in Antarctica.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Something vintage looking, maybe 1920s, very decorative and pretty.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
My black beaded purse, black pointed flats, and simple loose-fitted black fringe dress.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Being able to get away with everything.

11. What's your favorite band?
I can't name a favorite. Hope you won't kill me for making a list:

Well! An impressive introduction I must say! And I loved Kurt's Breakfast of Champions. Please, when your muse is in gear feel free to post some snippets of your novel in the literature forum for us to enjoy.

Welcome!

(Oh, and to add to your "X" category, try listening to Clan of Xymox: Innocent is a good start.)

Holy shit thats a lot of music. That being said, welcome to G-net. An interesting way to die, though if you were to fall into the Antarctic ocean, I don't think water in your lungs would be what sent you off.

Na, beats all the people who simply put 'too many to name'.
And extra points for spelling 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' the correct way!

Welcome to the boards! You might want to take a crack at reading Catch-22. If you're a Vonnegut fan, I think you'll like it.

Nice music list but may I also suggest X Marks the Pedwalk along with HP's Clan of Xymox?

What makes you want to be a writer in Chicago? Is it just the nearest big city or are there other reasons?

Hope you enjoy your time here with us.

I'm a huge lover of editing other people's work, and I would love to write that list on your brain then go through it deleting all the shit, because there really is a fair bit of good stuff on there. I guess I just have trouble believing that someone who can listen to Britney Spears / Pussycat Dolls / Busta Rymes / Sum 41 without experiencing intense pain has the mental capacity to enjoy something that's actually good.

However, you like Vonnegut so welcome anyway. How old are you, may I ask?

Why's it so hard to believe that someone has broad and varied musical tastes?

It's not about variation. There is good taste and bad taste, and the relationship between the two tends to be converse. Not so here - there is a LOT of bad music, although also a fair amount of good stuff.

Bad music I characterize very generally as fluff, with no intellectual foundation, unimaginative lyrics packed with cliche, and over-producing a shit melody rather than just writing a good one to begin with. Guitar riffs with 3 notes tend to be a giveaway (yeah, Armstrong, I'm talking to you).

And before someone inevitably asks - I'M the motherfucking arbiter of what sucks and what doesn't.

Hah. Good answer. But, be you arbiter of what sucks or not, catchy is still catchy.

Velma, I applaud you for listening to whatever the fuck you want. I was always under the impression that goth was about being yourself. If you want to listen to Master P right before you crack into Pantera, go to it. You won't catch any hell from me.

Thank you Humane.

I'll be sure too, however, I have to write Chapter One first. I write out of order. So I have chapters 7, 8, and 2 completed, but without the first, it's rather confusing.

Goth is about listening to Goth Rock, however I can agree with listening to whatever you like.
