Michael Jackson died.

No link. You can find it anywhere. Feels weird hearing it, though, doesn't it?

I honestly can't believe it. He's just one of those people that I never expected to die...as weird as that sounds.

Same here. Its Micheal Jackson.

You know I remember the first time I saw a Micheal Jackson video it was the music video that was included on the Free Willy VHS. I thought he was a really pretty lady. I'm not trying to make a joke, that was just the first thing I thought of when I heard.

Wel actually I had the same thoughts. When I was a kid, I had no idea what music there existed, and when I first saw a clip from him i too had the thought he was a woman.

It's sad that he died. He was such a..a..a definition as a MEGASTAR. And he was just preparing himself for his comeback...

Rest in peace Wacko Jacko....

I'm tired of hearing about it. I live in LA, it's ALL the news. CONSTANTLY!

At first I just thought it sucked. Then I thought of a ton of really BAD Jokes. Now I'm just tired of hearing about it. He's a fifty year old child molester who's career fizzled twenty years ago. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP.

You know I think it's fucking rude that people can't take one fucking day to lay off the jokes for a fucking dead guy. It doesn't matter what you personally thought of him-he's still a fucking human being. He has three kids.

It's called tact, assholes. Fuck you.

The passing of Farrah and Ed also made me sad. They reminded me of when I first started to delight in all the old school pop culture when they were all over TV Land back in it's heyday.

Now with MJ and how I used to love him when he was younger in the Jackson 5 and his earlier solo efforts, it's a downer. Especially considering that he's been in bad shape for ages now.

And in before his dad tries to get his hands on whatever little his son had left.

I can't really say I feel much remorse for his death. I feel more sad for the way he lived his life and what he became in the past ten years or so.

Ed McMahon and Farrah passing I -do- feel bad for. They were pretty cool folks. Rest In Peace.

My sympathies go to his family and fans, but honestly, how could anyone be that shocked by Jacko's death? He had been withering away for years.

Yeah but it's just not something you'd expect, y'know?
Jacko and death just don't seem like they'd fit together.

Usually I don't listen to Pop, but I really liked Thriller and Beat it. I'll probably never find a copy of Thriller for a couple of years now. I wonder if Sobe will revive the commercial with the lizards dancing. Oh well...I have to wonder if it was the pressure of a comeback that caused Mike's heart attack.

R.I.P.

I'll have to learn to play thriller and beat it now.

Yeah but he seemed to be getting better recently, hell he even let his kids go out in public without masks, it is a shame for him to have died when things finally looked like they were coming back together for him.

I know this may sound strange, but a small part of me has to wonder if it's some kind of publicity stunt, and that he's not actually dead.

[I hope that doesn't sound cold or callous.]

It is pretty weird to know he's dead. I grew up listening to him as my brother was a big fan. My gran had the VHS of Thriller which I always had to watch when I went to her house. I'd watch that, then go on to watch a slew of proper 80's horror films Like Nghtmare on Elm St, Evil Dead ect.

I need to watch Thriller now. I haven't seen it in years. Behold! One of the most expensive Music videos ever made at the time , and splendid zombies ( my favourite was the man in the drain and the ladies in tattered dresses and horrible 40's shoes )

Odd how just 6 days ago I posted a link to "Want you back" that I was rockin' to, that song still gets my feet tappin'.
https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=26

But anyway, I for one will remember his awesome music and videos.

But cripes, don't stars get it by now that the pain killer crap that killed Anna Nicole is deadly? Why was he shootin' up the same crap after she died from it? How many more stars will keep shooting pain killers and die from it?
