That's not right.
Maybe hearing that cutting is neither cool nor Emo (or Goth) from a real goth will make her acknowledge she has a problem and it's not something to be showing off.

I know plenty of wee posers who've been 'cutting' with safety scissors since primary school. If they've been doing it since age seven and no-one's noticed, chances are they've never broken the skin.

I once knew a guy (a very stupid pretentious guy, who deserves no sympathy)who slit his wrists in the school toilets with the blade out of a pencil sharpener. They'd scabbed by the time the ambulance arrived. He went on and on forever about how angsty he was, and how he hated the attention he got for it.

A lot of people just slit their wrists for the attention that they get.
If someone really wanted to kill themselves, there are other ways.
I am totally against anyone who slits their wrists. No sympathy points from me. If something is bothering you then just say it, don't be a fake for attention.

I don't think ~Fallen Forever~ is talking about suicide. Therefore, the whole suicide idea is really inappropriate. Sometimes people see things and can't get them out of their heads. Sometimes people are masochists. They seek gratification through pain.

This can be very dangerous way of thrill seeking. It is a good idea to step away and figure out what is so great about the pain. Maybe you feel something for a minute. Maybe it is the attention.

Maybe it is for the attention, but seriously, they are harming themself and it could go to far at any time. Find something else to do. Write, read, draw, work on something to feel up the time.

It's fun sometimes. I'm not too bad, but I usually do it alone and rarely tell anyone, so the whole getting attention thing isn't always the case.

Sticking needles through my flesh, playing with fire, pinching myself, digging my fingernails into my own fingers, bunches of stuff. Really very tame though. That digging my fingernails into my fingers has become a habbit. Just sitting their, doesn't matter if people are there or not, start in with the fingernails.

Slitting anything is a much bigger problem.

Then one should at least accomplish some good:donate blood, then you get stuck with huge needles, a lot of blood is drawn, and you feel very relaxed afterwards. And someone gets the blood they need!
