Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I buy most of my clothes at various thrift and second-hand stores these days, and I have yet to find a single Christian Death or Bauhaus shirt in any of them, so I guess they are not very Goth...
I did find a shirt with Frankenberry, Count Chocula and Booberry on the front at Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro once though. I really liked that shirt.

I don't believe I own anything from a goth shop. Most of my clothes are from H&M, Target, Forever21, GAP, and Nordstrom Rack - basically, any mall store or department store, with the occasional thrifty find.

I don't shop at goth shops. most of my ''goth'' clothes I get online or at thrift stores. but my favorite places to find basics and the occasional gem are ROSS, Marshalls, GAP, and Hot topic (if they are having a sale on band tees or shoes)
I don't shop much, I just don't find it enjoyable at all.

Sorry for the late reply!
Yes, Banana Republic has things for $4. You have to wait for a really nice clearance sale. Normally you'll just find some nicer black t-shirts, but sometimes you can get a decent blouse or sweater. Also, Express is really good for that as well. I have a large crystal spider brooch which I got for about $5. Clearance is your friend, and all those email things they want you to sign up for can be your best friend to knowing when they are, and occasionally getting you coupons for making the stuff even cheaper.

Target seems to have decent stuff in late Septmber/early October for Halloween. A few years back they had this stuff called "boo wear" that didn't suck.
I loved wearing those shirts months after and hearing kids say "Hey, Halloween's over!" Then I'd congratulate them for learning how to read a calendar. What's next? A clock with hands on it? Such bright children 'rents are squatting out nowadays!

I shop at Wal-Mart and Target to get most of my cloths, though sometimes their selections kinda stink compared to the larger malls that closed years ago.

Lately I have been really in love with White House | Black Market, thankfully there is a White House|Black Market outlet fairly close by as I am not even close to being able to afford their retail prices.

It was super cold the other day at work so I ran over to Old Navy, the closest store, and I was surprised at how much there I liked. I ended up getting a cardigan, which I needed to not freeze to death, and a Wonder Woman t-shirt. That is hideously pink.

Target, Ross, Bath and body works, and Claire's. I actually like a lot of the armwarmers Claire's has, Target has great basic stuff and Ross has good prices.

It say's, "Tim? Tell me about this father thing." I just happened to be reading some Sandman comics...
As for non-goth stores, being that goth stores are incredibly rare, all the stores I shop at. But I do shop at The Crypt, which is a fetish/goth shop... it's like 2 birds with one stone.

In the town were I live in Spain we don't have ANY gothic shop, so I have to buy online or buy "normal" clothes and manage to" turn it into a gothic one".
For example I sometimes buy on Primark black plain t-shirts that are OK or jeans.

If by "ungothiest" store you mean the one least likely to sell fishnets and 10 inch soled boots, then the second-hand stores where I get all of my clothes.
