Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

So you want a metal love song. You're all about metal... so why are you asking on a goth site?
I'm not saying that to be an arsehole I'm saying it because it seems a bit of an odd thing to do. Like trying to buy a cream cake in an elecrtical store.
Metal and goth have nothing to do with eachother, sound absolutely nothing like eachother, and neither of them have anything to do with HIM.
Why does it have to be a specific type of music to be a song for both of you? You can't just choose a song for something like that, it simply happens to some people. Having a specific song isn't nessecary for you to be a couple and you can't force it.
Just get on with being together and the song, if such a thing is meant for you, will crop up on it's own, in it's own time.

What Honey said. Also, GTFO; there IS no Gothic Death Metal of Love.
Don't take that to heart. ;l

What's it with metalheads and trying to subgenre the living fuck out of thier music? Is it so they can feel elite about saying "that's not Scandinavian zumba metal, it's algebraic intestinal metal." It seems like almost every band has it's own special genre.

Now this is romantic.
@Twitch: It's not so much the elitism as there's a shit ton of vastly different bands in the metal scene and it helps to break them down to more specific labels. It does get ridiculous down to a point though, there's no denying that.

We are truly the biggest elitists on the face of the musical earth, I'll be the first to admit it.
It happened AFTER "black metal" shirts could be purchased at Hot Topic though, in our defense...

I bloody well can deny it. Having heavy guitar doesn't make HIM a metal band. Ville Valo having a deep voice and wearing quite a lot of black doesn't make him a goth.
I like HIM ( fuck off ) but seriously, they have nothing to do with goth. Or metal. Ville Valo has stated clearly more than once that they are not a goth band, he stated on film (dvd) that if you want goth, go and listen to some Sisters, or Siouxsie or Bauhaus ect.
Goth does have it's offshoots and assosciated music styles ( Darkwave and so on ) but Metal is not one of them.
