My earworm at the moment isn't a song - it's a line of dialogue. "Am I....ginger?" (It's from Dr Who, sad person that I am)

Freeze! rock!
(rang-dang-diggidy-dang-a-dang)
White! ooh-white!
(white lines) vision dreams of passion
(going through my mind) and all the while I think of you
(pipeline) a very strange reaction
(yours to unwind) the more I see, the more I do
Something of a phenomenon, telling your body to come along
Cause white lines - blow away..

The chorus refrain from Standing by VNV Nation has been in my head, such that even the inner monologue I have throughout the day is put to that beat.

<3`s OnixxFilth,

You get multiple earworms too, I still have those earworms, I bet you have `Lucretia` still playing in your ears. I was wondering do you get the entire song, or just one particular part of it.

Who needs mp3 players when you have earworms!!!

Depends on how well I know the song. If it's multiple earworms, generally bits and pieces of each song intermingling. One solo earworm can be the entire song, or just the catchiest bits.

I don't have an earworm atm because I'm listening to a song, but one that I've noticed more lately is "Call the Ships to Port" by Covenant. I love that song.

I call incomplete songs "partial earworms." Sometimes I get like half a line stuck in my head and it just repeats and repeats and drives me nuts.
The other thing that happens to me is I get a word stuck in my mind, and sometimes have to write it down to get it out. Once I had "Etymology" stuck in my head, and I had to write it on my drawing cuz I couldn't concentrate. GRRRR!!!!!.

Hahaha... Xnguela. I hate that song SO much. My musid teacher forced that drivel in our ears. Black number one is stuck in my head right now. Specifically the line "Will she trick or treat?/I bet she will."

What’s got you so jumpy?
Why can’t you sit still, yeah?
Like gasoline you wanna pump me
And leave me when you get your fill, yeah

Every time I touch you honey you get hot
I want to make love you never stop
Come up for air you push me to the floor
What’s been going on in that head of yours

Unskinny bop
Just blows me away
Unskinny bop, bop
All night and day
Unskinny bop, bop, bop, bop
She just loves to play
Unskinny bop nothin’ more to say

Multiple earworm: "Down In It" by Nine Inch Nails mixed with music from "We Love Katamari", the video game I was playing last night -
"I was up above it... now I'm down in it...Naaaaaah nananananana Katamari Da - Ma - Ceeeee"...
It's hellish.

AVARICE; An earworm is much worse when you start singing it in the shower & it turns out to be a song by a band that you hate!
