The combination of those three doesn't make me have a good singing voice, it just makes me have a grave mellow baritone with the occasional Ville's high pitch

Wow, Jillian, you must sound great!! I'd love to hear you sing.
You should think about recording a sound clip and posting it on Gnet for us to enjoy...

Goths have nothing special to do with metal. Who said such a thing?

HIM... I could fill pages concerning my opinions of them. But I'm too lazy. In general, I like their older stuff and detest the new things I've heard, like "Wings of a Butterfly". It's so polished now that it's lost it's attractive "emo- rough edge- still sensitive but slightly mad" sound that I loved so much. And yes, I still love "Don't Fear the Reaper", even though it's a Nick Cave rip- off.

I like HIM as well but their new stuff is getting too "radio friendly". Ville is hot though.

Did you dig up this buried, decayed, rotten, and vanished thread just to make me angry? HIM is a total blatant ripoff of the Sisters of Mercy, and Ville's a prima donna that can't write lyrics. There, ya happy?

The only turn off is the Mainstream factor.

To be honest, alot of times I've hated the "mainstream" bands because of just that, and went back to them later and saw that they're not bad.

The turn off is the fact that his lyrics all sound the same, I hate his vocals and they sound like a really bad Black Sabbath rip off. =)

I had no idea HIM was going mainstream until I heard a HIM song on the radio. It freaked me out so much that I started yelling random obscenities.
