I've been a fan of SOAD for a long time now.

I actually have one of their demo tapes from like '94 around here somewhere.

Who came first: 10 Years or System of a Down?

My sister listens to 10 Years. I'm not familiar with them, but they sound like SOAD wannabes.

No idea who came first, but I can most likely find out.

SOAD have been around for a very long time, however.

To the search!

SOAD definetly came first.

"10 Years is an alternative metal/hard rock band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2002"

"System of a Down (sometimes referred to as SOAD, or System) is an alternative metal band that was formed in 1995 in Hollywood, California. Their name was inspired by a poem written by band member Daron Malakian entitled 'Victims of a Down'."

I'm not a huge fan of them. I just don't like their sound or their songs.

S.O.A.D.? I used to like them, but got tired of it.

I totally agree. There has to be a reason for everything. Anyways, I like them for their riffs and politics. Songs like "War?" or "Boom!" have influenced much anti-war protesting. Besides that there music is great from the insane vocals to the fast paced mood of it all.

I love SOAD. Insane vocals and one hell of a drummer. But yeah their older stuff is better.
