Who isn't? Of course I still live with my nagging mother and she says that if I don't work, she will pay for my college. But I want to know her secret. Was it credit card induced?

thanks all for the welcomes.
Well, I havn't worked for the past two years due to my mental illness.
I am diagnosed bi-polar with dissociative habits and Borderline personality disorder. It's pretty extreme and have been in and out of hospital 6 times over 2 year span with several bouts of mania and suicide attempts.
So, Hey.. Thats how ya get out of working. lol!
But I'm alot better than what I was, with the love and support of my family and my partner I am slowly learning to love & accept myself.

I know where you are coming from. My husband is bi-polar with some schizophrenic and psychotic symptoms. He also has severe anxiety disorder and is also unable to work. I'm glad to hear you are getting better. Welcome!

I wish you and your husband all the best, Lynn377.
It takes a very compassionate and special person to support those with mental illness.
thankyou for the welcome

Hi Welcome...In Australia we have a social security system called Centrelink (mob of wankers) they pay money to single parents, students and jobless people (but you have to actively look for work) etc.

Ah well, that explains it...
Glad to hear you are doing well now. Accepting yourself is a very tough thing to do. Good luck with it, sincerely.

Getting better is always hard to do and I admire anyone who can do it. Learning to accept oneself is extremely hard, I've been Anorexic for the past 10 years and I am only now learning to like myself. So congratulations I hope you keep making progress :-)
I want to do a smiley face on my post but I don't know how.
