Perhaps we're distracted, trying to figure out what happened to all that money that was supposed to be under the door. Greedy mice, maybe.

I generally use e-mail, but as for angst-zine proper, it is hosted, as are all of the mail accounts, by Dreamhost.com. Don't know what happened, but thanks all the same. : ) Merrily goes off to add links and whatnot...

Oh, great and powerful admin Gods, I seem to have a small problem, well, when it happened it was a big problem, but just to me. I was in the middle of typing a long and thoughtful reply to a post when, oh dear, my anti-virus program poked up it's ugly little head and proceded to kick me out of my own computer!!! It was towards the end of my post!!! I was almost finished!!! I don't post very often, and I was trying to get it posted before the baby woke up!!! Argh!!! ( Sorry for the rant, I was sooooo frustrated) I have seen posted elsewhere that a few other members are having this trouble also, but only when they are posting to G-net. Just wondering if you had any idea why this was happening to us. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. ( I'll slip you a 50 if you can help.... ...and some arsenic laced tidbits for the mice) heeheheee...

OK. Yeeeeah. I have to report something here.

Yeah, uh....

OK. I am a member of your banner exchange AND link exchange programs.
I am bringing up an issue with your link exchange code.
See, I went and did what was said in your instructions in obtaining the correct code for my customers to vote for my jewelry website on you Gothic.Net list of links.

I have gotten e-mails from some of my customers stating that all they are getting when they click on the link (the code that I copied directly from you) does not work and they get a screen that says "USER ERROR".

I have looked into this matter myself to make sure that is not a mistake that I have made in posting the code. I have gone over it three times now, and it all does the same darn thing - it gives a "USER ERROR" screen.

Can someone please either give me code that WORKS or resolve this issue internally?

Thank you,

Kitty's Jewelry of Tampa

You may have missed the post where we mentioned that there was some work going on with the topsites configuration, so sorry about that. It is being worked on. The banner exchange is working fine though.

During the duration of your topsites account you have sent in a total of 21 clicks and recieved 62 visits in return. You are currently being credited with the clicks you send in and they will still count towards your position once the page is displaying properly again, but the topsites page layout is obviously experiencing a little difficulty. If having the topsites messed up is really bothering you or your customers, you can remove or comment out the link on your site if you like.

When you are writing posts, in whatever system, and they have taken a lot of care and consideration, it is a good practice to copy them, just in case whatever system you are posting to clogs up and loses your work. I know it's really frustrating. LJ does it to me all the time. We will look into potentially having some sort of draft saving system, but until then, I suggest simply copying the post if it's important.

As far as this site goes, yes, last week there were some issues relating to a server addition that made things not load nearly as smooth as would be ideal. They were unexpected, but seem to have been cleared up.

I think you should change the discription of the introduction section to say something about the questions, as a lot of people don't seem to see them at first.

Nope. All is well as long as it gets fixed. I'll leave my links as is for now.
I'll trust the problem will be resolved on your end. Thanks.

What you need to do is make some use out of the background image.

Roughly 2/5 of the available monitor real estate is being pissed away by firing these background images.. This is a waste and it needs to be corrected.

Is there any way that the banner exchange approval process could be sped along at all? I've been hanging on the line for a couple of weeks now waiting for my banner to be approved. I'm not sure how long others have been waiting but it would be spiffy if the process (banner approve/deny) could be expidited.

Well, that kind of depends on what you have your monitor resolution set at. You'd probably be surprised at how many people don't have such high resolution monitors.

Mir can go back browsing through the not so hidden porn banners here. Now as for the rest of us with our hands still on the keyboards or mouse...
I think there should be a larger navagation, and a music section would be nice.

Well, I think there should be a wider variety of selections to look at. Or, the selections should have more information. Such as a music section, a large aspect of goth culture is the music. No offense, but when I first came on here I thought it was a magazine as well-so I expected it to be a little like morbid outlook as far as navagation goes. The literature one's good, and the articles. But that's basically the only two I look at other than the forums.

Vyvian, look a little closer.

There are two separate sections for music.

One has been here a looooooong time, the Music Forum, and there are thousands of posts there.

The second is if you are talking about actual music:
Go to "Links" at the top, then click on "Bands".
You will get a pleasant surprise! Yes, you can listen to actual music!

So you see, the admin is wondering why you think there isn't any music section, because there are two. At least, that is the way I read the flow. I don't think the admin is really interested in what Mir is doing with his hands when they are not on the mouse and keyboard, when he is on a porn site...
