Retarded Sci-Fi Channel movie (a review)
I hate these crappy sci-fi channel 'original' movies. I watch them only to laugh at the shitty script, acting, etc. but today I saw a film so supportive of retardation it wasn't even funny. It was called, "Gargoyles: Wings of Darkness" and it really takes the fun out of the legend of gargoyles. Sure, it showed some good grave sceneary but only to be manulative for what it really is. It's basically these two CIA agents investigating in New York and Ancient Creature known as the gargoyle. It was moderisned as if it was something like Alone In The Dark or Hoes of The Dead using great original monsters but making them watered down and crappy. First of all, the gargoyles attack old women on the streets (known now as GayGoyles) and are made with (meh) CGI! I love gargoyles and other gothic, grotesque imagery but this TV movie took the original fun out of it. How could it have been better? Well, it could have been more introductive to the storyline, showing history of the gargoyles. It showed only one or two scenes of graveyards and churches and that was near the end, and they put in (gasp) gangsta introduction music to illustrate new york ghettos (yes, this is the same movie). It just was bad, thought I'd share that. Critique: zero stars is an option, right?
