About Penis Flytrap, I've got an EP from them somewhere around here. They're O.K. as a novelty act. The musicianship is a bit sloppy to take seriousely. The names they come up with are hilarious, though.

Gang of Four - a very excellent post-punk band from the 80's. Not necessarily goth, but worth a listen nontheless.

Action Action - Very new-wave indie with a kind of post-punk vibe. I don't know how else to describe them; I just love these guys. They stand above the Killers by a mile.

Familiar with Gang of Four. They used to play one of their songs on KROQ here in L.A., I Love a Man in a Uniform . Fun stuff.

I'm fond of new-wave/post-punk. There is a band from here you might like called The Von Steins. They have the sound you described.

Do the Von Steins have a site or something?
And it's always great to hear I'm not alone in my band-worship.

I stumbled across a couple of really cool bands yesterday: Reliquary and Stone 588.

Both are female-fronted goth/darkwave bands with atmospheric guitar and electronic percussion. Reliquary sounds a little more classically influenced, while Stone 588 is more like operatic death rock.

Probably quite a few of you know these, but for those who don't...
- alice nine.
- The GazettE
- An Cafe
- Kagrra
- Kobukuro
- Tetsu

All Japanese. So effing hot, they burn.

Vasyl Popadiuk ... amazing instrumental. More on a classical note, Popadiuk is the most fantastic violinist. Makes me cry. And dance like mad. So bloody beautiful.
The link below isn't his best piece, but you do get a feel for his style.

Ever heard of Harlequin Jones?
My first impression of them is that they were The Dresden Dolls wannabes.
But to be honest, I prefer Harlequin Jones to The Dresden Dolls.
Their songs just seem better. Look for one called Zombie Vampires From Hell.

Gorgonas - Mexican deathrock band.

Eyaculación Post-Mortem (from Spain) - genre: punk rock (?)

I recently came across these bands; not too bad, I must say. Anyway, I'm sure that many of you haven't even heard of these bands, since both bands are a non-English act.

Silent Stream of Godless Elegy

No one ever seems to know who they are and they are one of my favorite bands, though not quite as good since they changed singers.
