Good Evening

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Well, let me see. I tend to go on mini-adventures when the weather is warm. I like going to see bands. I enjoy reading, quite a lot. I really like writing and theatre.

2. Where are you from? I was born in Virginia, but I have lived in North Carolina, Hawaii, and Maryland as well due to my stepfather being in the military.

3. Who is your favorite author? I don't have a favorite. I like Holly Black, Scott Westerfield, Amy Tan, Mariah Fredericks, and Margaret Cho.

4. What are your favorite films? Moulin Rouge, FAME, Memoirs of a Geisha, V for Vendetta, Interview with A Vampire, etc.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I do not plan on marriage, but I suppose if I did, I would play really loud rock music just to be obnoxious.

6. At your funeral? Same answer, except for the 'not planning' part. You cannot beat death.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? In a terribly fantastic way that gets me on the six-o-clock news.

8. What kind of casket would you want? NO! Cremation for me please. I'm terrified of the dark and small spaces.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? My dark blue jeans, brown/purple sneakers and my green Flogging Molly t-shirt.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? I was tall then. I stopped growing though.

11. What's your favorite band? (Can't pick) I like Flogging Molly, The Ramones, Within Temptation, Hinder, Marilyn Manson, AFI, a little bit of everything really.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? I am just finishing up high school. I plan to attend community college for the first year or two, then switch to university. I want to be a Theatre Major.

13. Why did you join? I joined because I enjoy the Gothic subculture and would like to talk to people who share the same interests that I do.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? I am a female.

That's really all I feel like writing. My fingers hurt a little.

I agree. How come? I can see how number 7 needs to be changed, but why 12?

Yes, 12 doesn't really seem incorrect in any way to me.

Hello...
As I try to find something in common with people, I'd just like to say that Memoirs of a Geisha is also one of my favorite films.

Memoirs of a Geisha was a wonderful book...I haven't seen the film though. Why would 12 have to be changed Dax? I liked FAME a lot; the Hot Lunch Jam is my favourite I think. Welcome!

(terribly confused) (happens a lot, unfortunately)

All AFI, Ms. Blackthorne. My eclectic tastes allow me to love them throughout their changes over the past ten years.

Mr. Dax, I'm afraid I don't understand. Was there a problem with #7 and #12? (I actually answered honestly, I swear)

Yes, Ms. Demoness, Lapin is indeed French for 'rabbit'. It is my normal choice of name for the Internet.

Ms. Arashi and Ms. Rain, I do appreciate your choices in movies and books. (Sad as it is, I think my favorite song from the movie really is the FAME theme, annoying as it is.)

I saw AFI play in a community hall back in 1998. The singer was much hotter then.

Good evening Mademoiselle Lapin.

Regarding your answer to number 8:

Isn't that where we all came from? I find it a paradox that you say in question #13 that you enjoy the Gothic subculture, but then are afraid of the dark.
O_o

But no matter, I cordially welcome you to Gnet.

Ah, Mr. Pain, you have found my weakness. You see, I'm only scared to be alone in the dark. When with someone, or out of doors, I am not afraid. When inside and alone, my heartrate goes off the scales. (smiles)

(I'm very sorry if I've gotten any of your sexes wrong, but I do strive to be proper. I was raised in Virginia.)

Mme. Dancing, ah, ma française est seulement débutante.

Ms. Blackthorne, do you take issue with being addressed as such?

Mademoiselle Lapin, on dit "mon français est seulement débutant" ou, avec de la meilleure grammaire et plus de diplomatie, "mon français n'est pas tout à fait parfait". And in the language of Molière, on ne met pas de point . après Mme ou Mlle
If I'm being too nitpicky, tell me. I love Français...have spoken it in conjunction with English ever since I learned how to speak, which is why I am praying for another Frenchie on here. Faites-moi signe, mes amis francophones!

Ps. I'm willing to help correct french essays. I do so all the time. i have no life. x_x

Ah, Mme. Dancing, I'm very sorry if my poor attempt made you cringe. My teacher says I'm good only for translation, then tends to mutter something obscene in the beautiful language. (grins)

Also, would you be willing to assist me in my own essays? (I only ever need grammer . . . mine is just . . . *shudders*)

lol the way you said for how you want to die reminds me of Stewie Griffin, I love that guy. How can any human being insane or not hate Family guy (I really should ask my mother that).

As for the music don't worry we have the best doctors in the world here to fix you up with some good music (about half of it is ok just don't use manson and goth in the same sentence ever I can not help you with what happens if you do).

Z. Renatus, thank you very much for the warning. (smiles) However, just because my music taste is eclectic doesn't mean that I don't know my genres. Though Mr. Manson is a goth, his music is definitely metal . . . of some form.

And, to defend my music tastes, I must quote a friend:

"Listening to only one type of music is like only drinking wine; you miss out on so much fun stuff."

Ms. Poison, I see you are also a KH fan. (I'm not, but I'd recognize those lyrics anywhere) Hello to you as well. And yes, Within Temptation is fantastic (and deliciously pagan).

Well Mlle Lapin, I must say that you are a very courteous young lady, though you still haven't grasped the fact that you do not need to put a period . after Mme in Français. If the abbreviation ends with the last letter of the full word, you do not need to put a period/dot/full-stop/whatever you call it in.

Feel free to e-mail me French essays at dancing_crimson_tears@ hotmail dot com
I am willing to help you correct them. The same goes for anyone else out there who would like French help.
