Munsters VS. Addams Family
Here's an interesting topic:
Which is one of these two shows is your favorite? Munsters or Addams Family?
I just love the Munsters myself.

Addams Family! Morticia is sexier, and Gomez reminds me of myself. And I like their mansion better too. Lurch rules.

Plus the Addams family has that animated severed hand. I can think of all manner of inappropriate uses for that thing.

"Thing"! Thing is teH awesomeneSS (sorry internetZ sillies). Yes, the Addams family totally PWNS The Munsters, though I used to watch reruns of both shows growing up. I played Wednesday Addams in a production of Addams Family On Ice (part of a bigger costume themed figure skating show) when I was 12. I had the lil pig tails and all that fun stuff.

I think The Addams Family was way a head of it's time. Core family values, unconventional humour, sex appeal and the questioning of conformist ideals.
I just loved how Morticia and Gomez showed so much passion for each other as a married couple.
I also have a long time crush on Cousin Itt.

The Adams family of course. There Uncle Fester and his toys, then you have the lovely Wednesday who gets along with her brother in a way I wish I could do with mine, Cousin it with his amazing self esteem, Morticia and Gomez are the perfect couple, then there is the ever present handyman of the house, and how they help each other out.

I like the Munsters personally. I love how Grandpa Munster would talk to his pet bat Igor and completely understand him.

The Munsters was a good stepping stone into the Addams Family for me. I loved how Grandpa was just so crass - he reminded me of my own grandfather. I also love how Marylin was considered the freak of the group....and they had her convinced that she was!
BUT...the passion that always existed in Gomez and Morticia's marriage was definitely inspiring and sends a good message to young people (not really young children, but people who are observing and learning what good marriages and healthy families are like)

I don't think the Munsters ever was on Norwegian TV - at least, I never got to see it. You can't believe how annoying I think that is... So I guess it's the Addams family. Morticia's always been my personal heroine, anyway

I like 'em both, but the Addams Family always made me laugh with much more ease.

The Addam'a family is, and always will be, awsome. When I was little, instead of that stupid barney song, I sang the Addam's Family theme song.

Somehow, I love the Munsters for a number of reasons:
Herman ROCKS!!!! (does Herman's laugh) WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Grandpa's wisecrack jokes. hehehehehe
Lily, she's got the face ya just wanna kiss. MWAH!
The house, soooooooo spooky! mmmmmmm
Here's my favorite one of all- THE MUNSTER KOACH!!! The most gothiest and awesome thing I have ever seen on four wheels. I also like the Dragula too.
I do admire the Addams Family, but it just didn't grab me as much until the movie came out. Raul Julia did awesome as Gomez, sad that he passed away right after he finished playing M.Bison on Street Fighter and God bless him.

The Munsters! They're funnier.
Ahaha, I loved Hermann's temper tantrums.

As I stated earlier, I prefer the Addams Family, but I was also an avid watcher of the Munsters. I agree Herman was pretty cool, but all the characters were. I liked how Eddie had that doll - wasn't its name Wolfie or something like that?
