Post some health related threads and if they are popular, we'll see what people think about the idea.

I second that. Not being able to have a long enough period of time to edit your posts is frustrating.

Gothic.net I think it's just a BIT silly that we even have the red 'you have posted here' buttons on our own page which displays our threads. Is it possible to make it only visible when it's someone elses' thread you've posted in and not that of your own?

I want another penis, next to my current one, slightly smaller than the original.
I know you can grant me my wish; you're just too greedy to give it to me.

Haha, I'm just saying... I don't like, when wearing boxers, to have the quandary of 'should I wear my penis on my left, or right leg'?
Having two would erase that problem.

the ability to delete posts would be nice, especially if you're getting flamed..or because sometimes you make a mistake and want to fix it but then you have to type more....

Not going to happen, the forum policy is that you should stand for what you have said.

I think that there should be a way to clean up the site. I've read too many complaints about trolls and the like invading the site. Since there seem to be no more moderators, there should be an unelected, "unofficial" moderator.
The system should work democratically. There should be a post asking everyone who they think would be best suitable for the job with a five person maximum. Which ever five receive the most nominations will become the new "moderator". As "moderator", he or she will have the power to act against any one (mostly new members) who does not contribute to the site. The first act will be an ultimatum issued against the person causing trouble. With enough ultimatums, (three maximum), the "mod" should then be allowed to go to the people asking for consent to ban a certain member in the form of a poll. If there is a two-thirds majority in favor of banning the member causing trouble, then the person can be banned. However, the person who was banned can be judged by a trial of peers if he/she thinks that the ban should be lifted; there is one trial per person.
Also, when a new member joins, there should be a check box at the end of the thread by Empty_Purple_Stars saying that the new member has read the rules and will follow them to the best of his/her ability.
There should also be a disclaimer saying that if a new member catalyzes conflict, the other members cannot be blamed for continuing it. Because I've read enough people saying, "This one's being mean to me." It is your responsibility, as a member, to contribute to this site. If you fail to uphold your duties, then you have every right to be flamed.
Democritization, one place at a time. Go to the "Shill" section if you want to see the original post.

Too much huzzle. Sides, democracy on a public forum? It will only lead people to make multiple accounts.

If my memory serves me right, the facepunchstudios.com forums had a smartness system, where if someone makes a spelling error, their smartness points are deducted, to a certain point where they get kicked off for a short amount of time. They also had a system where you could give someone like "funny", "cool", or "ZING!" awards for posts.

*hold's out stop sign*
woah my friend, I know none of us want our magnificent fourms to look like facepunch. I only meant the features (or something like them), in some tangent form to be introduced.

An updated calender would be nice.
Oh yeah and maybe a mod or two to clean things up a bit and keep things like the calender updated?

Many of the features you guys have mentioned above are available on the latest versions of free/open source "ready made" forums that have been around for a while and are widely used. Plus these versions are easily customised and adaptable to use existing databases...
So what I'm saying is that it should be easy to upgrade the board, etc. I for one would like to see a "cleaner" interface, and for the love of god, PM's!
If manpower is an issue, for example with moderation, then perhaps the older members (i.e. ones who have been here a number of years) could be given some abiliities to caution, ban, and delete posts. This is the norm for some other boards I've been on.
I'm afraid I haven't had the chance to read the entire thread, so please let me know if this has been tried before.
