I can't say I'm too upset, yet I can't say I'm thrilled. I guess I remain neutral then.

I guess his work for God is over. He's in a better place I'm sure. I do hope he got exactly what he wanted in the afterlife.

One thing I'm curious about is what will the next generation of religious leaders be like when somone must rise up and fill the vacant posts.

God, well, I'm with Dancing. I hate to be cruel, I really won't mourn this. Though I'm not doing the classic, 'ding dong the witch is dead' either. He was very stuck up I mean look everyone:

Quote:
In 1999, he denounced the BBC TV children's show The Teletubbies, because he believed one character, Tinky Winky, was homosexual.
Gosh, that's interesting. Blaming a little kids' show for displaying homosexuality. That's creepy. Hmm... =p And what's wrong with homosexual cartoons? Kids should be exposed to a someone's natural orienation. In fact, Tinky Winky was a very active homosexual if I do say so myself...Oh well...I shouldn't be harsh to a dead man. Hopefully I haven't offended anyone with such tasteless humour.

I'm sorry, I know this is sick and cruel, but I just can't help myself:

"Ding-dong, the bastard's dead, the fucking bastard, the fucking bastard. Ding-dong, the fucking bastard's d-e-e-e-ad."

This asshole made me cry when I was a kid, making me think I was a sinner and worthless. I'm going to celebrate.

Now someone needs to off the rest of these fuckers.

He was a radical and we dont need people like him in the mainstream meadia. Needless to say I wont be mourning his death , it's fucks like him that slow the progress toward real freedom.

He said that he'd die when God's work was finished. While I do not believe God's work is finished (any God and any work), I do believe his god took notice and "downsized" him to better the image of the company.

Though a life lost is a sad thing when he could have had a change of heart and became more compassionate and understanding, I can't help but think he drew his own battle lines and made certain kinds of people his enemy. Also, I don't think he even CARED that he was spewing hate about other people.

He wont get what he wants from me in his death. I will not celebrate his fall. Though I will be slightly miffed that someone could have had a change of heart in time. He could have learned to love.

I'm going to be blunt by saying good riddance. I feel that this man had one large bad idea. I think that this country would just decline even more if he was able to combine church and state. Plus, his protests against gay marriage and abortion are appaling. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I am for it. I really can't say anything positive here.

I'm glad he's gone. I wouldn't want him or anyone to die, but since he is dead, I can breathe a little more freely.

I was listening to reports on his life on NPR and the more I heard him speak, the more frustrated I became. I can't stand people who take the bible, or any holy book, and use it against people. Some of the things he said were downright idiotic. "The Homosexual Revolution is coming for your Children" (almost a direct quote). I am also very opposed to the "Moral Majority" he founded. His morals may have been in the majority during his 20s, but today, they are so backasswards that it is just infuriating.

Rant Complete.

Actually, the 20's were some pretty wild party-times. I think his views and ideals were the ones of the late 1940's and the 1950's, wherein everything was expected to be perfect.

Then we had the 60's. Good times.
