When I was four my mother gave me a few dollars and told me to the store to buy milk and bread. Because I was four, I told her I wanted to buy candy. She told me I could then skip the bread and buy candy. When I got to the store, I noticed that the milk was more expensive, so I bought the bread instead. When I got home and she saw that there was no milk, she started crying. Turns out, she was suffering from particularly bad stomach ulcers, and needed milk to soothe them. Because of what I did, she ended up getting very sick. It was really really bad. I had to run over to a neighbor for help. The neighbor looked at me like a was a particularly nasty insect, yet she gave me a cup of milk for my mother. She slowly sipped it over the course of the day, and finally the vomiting subsided. I have thought of this every day ever since. The agony of worry, guilt, and remorse never completely lifted from me. I know that it was not completely my fault. I was only four. There was no adult to handle the situation. Neither does it make me feel better to think that it never would have happened if she had just explained to me how important it was to bring her the milk. In fact, dwelling on these thought inspires me to useless rage. My mother didn't want to burden me.

My biggest regret is not knowing much about the gothic culture until about a year or two ago. I regret not having known anything about it sooner.

My biggest regret is losing both of my best friends in one year partly because of me and partly because one was a lying back stabbing bitch and the other one is now my hated ex boyfriend.

I try to live without regrets, because at the time, it was exactly what you wanted. Regret doesnt change anything, it just wastes time. Its better to move on, and try to make the changes you feel you need too.

My biggest regret would be not telling the nine people that I lost how much I loved them and I wish I would have been able to say good-bye.
