It was more of an observation I always thought she was pretty, so I suppose it was a compliment. (Wonder if my opinion had anything to do with her tattoos?)

So I'm making my own shampoo. Now she'll be jealous, because it's all natural and homemade and wonderful.

Ugh, aren't moms a pain?

HA! Your standards are higher than mine. All I care about is whether they have $5 and aren't obnoxious enough to make other people take their $5 elsewhere.

Now, it's when someone starts calling themselves a goth that I start to take issue, primarily because of the reason you stated. Almost all metal heads I've seen go in and out of the goth scene over the years have fallen under that criteria. There have been (and presently are) some notable exceptions where I am, but they are very, very few and far between.

Mhmm. Well, I'm a fan of Nightwish, I'm even going to see them live in October... But I don't know about your question. Sorry.

Good lord, they are fucking lame beyond words. It's not even funny. I don't know why I have such a problem with heavy metal. I mean I REALLY don't like any of it's subgenres.

I personally do like Nightwish. But then again, I like listening to Jpop. So maybe my opinion counts for nothing...

Getting back on this... I have decided that I sorta like them. Some of their songs (from those I have heard) are pretty good. The rest, though, are unremarkable and forgettable.

There isn't really a rule as to what you have to like outside of goth to BE a goth, so your opinion is just as good as anybody's.

Delicti, I understand where you're coming from. I think it's best to just not judge people right off the bat and give them a chance..as you said yourself, in time, they either stick around or they don't, it's their loss.
