I am.. a goa.. I mean, my name is Dennis.

Hello.
I have seen this forum before and checked it a few times.
Now, I finally decided to join (:
I am not gonna argue how or why I am goth, or why I am not.
Does it really matter?
I would like to say sorry on advance if my spelling or punctations somehow fail.
I uphold the right to post even late at night, so it might happen :P
Also, english is a second language to me so please accept eventual spelling mistakes.
Now, don't think I'm all serious o.o that would be a terrible mistake :P
Now, I guess I should get to answering this preset form, right?

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I am under education and I have no job. I have pc, videogames, movies and music as my main interrests.

2. Where are you from?
I am from a small town in Denmark. It's boring as hell here -.-

3. Who is your favorite author?
Anne Rice by far.

4. What are your favorite films?
Well I liked Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 and 3. Also, the old Beethoven movies about this dog were nice :P The Nightmare Before Christmas is rather entertaining but my very favourite movie of all time has got to be The Phantom of the Opera.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Depending on who I marry.. I would like something good to die by -.- I hope never to get married :P But, should I get married, I would like some Metal played :P seeing as that will remain nothing but a dream I have no idea.

6. At your funeral?
Honestly, I don't think I would be able to hear what they are playing anyway o.o But I would like an infinite loop of Arch Enemy's "Marching on a Dead-end Road" since it's lovely and rather sad in nature.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I would like a painless death. Any pain caused to me has to be under my full control -.-

8. What kind of casket would you want?
I don't really know to be honest.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Black, black, black :P Often hooded shirts or t-shirts with something tribal on them, regular black pants, leather jacket, leather gloves, silver necklace, (piercings count? got an earring and a piercing in my eyebrow..), collar/whatever you call those things -.-, black shoes so far(hope to get some boots soon) and maybe a chain or two.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
The illusion of a perfect world. The fact that I didn't have a care in the world despite my horrible childhood.

11. What's your favorite band?
That would be Iron Maiden, Arch Enemy or Slipknot.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I have regular school so far. Hope to become a graphical designer/whatever might be the propper english name.

13. Why did you join?
Because the community seems to be kind. I have had a tough time finding a community that didn't hate me per instinct.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Oh that's tough... Uh... Oh, right, male :P

Welcome, you seem quite nice and almost everything on you checks out. But you should listen to some goth rock or darkwave before you can really call yourself goth.

You seem to have your head in the right space, and your English is commendable. How old are you, if you don't mind my asking?

I would be 17 years old by now.
And I would take that last reply as a compliment, so thanks (:
My english is too much of american, I'm afraid..
By the way, Cyntrox, thanks for the link (: I must have missed your post when I wrote this original message o.o

That's not surprising. US culture does seem to pervade the rest of the world far more than that of other English speaking countries (speaking as a disgruntled Canuck, of course).

I like the newest version, if that's what you mean. Enjoyed the book quite a bit too. (I still think Christine should've chosen Erik, though. But hey, that leaves him free for me, right?)

Yeah, the 2004 version of the movie (:
And yeah, she should have chosen Erik.
But yes, he's free for you to snatch now :P Though you might have to fight your way through thousands of other fans o.o
I never read the original book though o.o (damn danish bookstores -.-"")
I read Susan Kay's rewriting of it though o.o
Poor Erik..

Welcome. Iron Maiden and Phantom (both the book and movie) kick major ass. I was fortunate enough to see it performed on stage at the National Arts Center (of Canada).

You seem nice, and I'm inclined to like you. So agian, welcome to g-net!

The Phantom of the Opera rocks!
And, forget about gothic rock for now, you strike me as someone that would enjoy Industrial more.

I thank you all for the warm welcomes (:
Breathless Horror, wasn't it wonderful to see it performed live? :0(stupid thing made the real smiley an embarrasment smiley :P)
So far, I am saving up money to go to London so I can see it performed there. Also, I hope to see some other musicals while over there. Cats maybe.
Once again, thanks for the warm welcomes (: I already like it here ^^

Yeah, I would recommend post-industrial, harsh ebm, and experimental, man. Believe me, the music forum.... heh, you'll find a wealth of great bands and the like on there.

Welcome aboard kid, oh if you like heavy stuff like Arch Enemy and Slipknot then check out Children of Bodom if you haven't yet and try your best to find Gotherfall. Both bands are good, but Bodom is by and far the better.
